@gpl992 most of the big guys at my gym are not that strong because they have the puffed up weak muscle from lifting for size, not the strong hard muscle from lifting for strength. I've spent most of my time lifting for strength but now I'm trying to mix it up to get a little bigger as well. It's fun being stronger than the big guys, but it's not fun having people think you're a weak little guy.

@gpl992 One of my favorite things to do at the gym is to get on a bench next to some lunk and show him up, but I would still like to be a little bigger. If you want to learn more about training for strength you should check out some of Pavel Tsatsouline's books, you can find pdf versions around online. He's a former Soviet special forces trainer who mostly focuses on gaining strength without gaining size.
