  • scott is such a leftist feminist pussy

  • Russell Brand should have been naked in this film NOT Jason Segel

  • russell was the best in this film. love russell.

  • Did anyone else not find this movie funny and not get why it got any attention? I like Judd Apatow films, but this one sucked.

  • @blavia77 I thought it was funny, but it was kind of a let-down after so many people talked it up so much before I saw it. I thought Tropic Thunder was much funnier and it came out a few months later.

  • I'm also tired of the so-so man/super-hot woman combo you almost always see in these movies, and I'm a guy btw. I thought the review was fair, and I would say this reviewer hardly has a stick up his ass: one of his "Critic's Picks" is First Blood Pt. 2!

  • @squamish4244 Jason Segel is much better than so-so! I think every girl I know is in love with him. He's hilarious and so cute, as is his character in this movie. I see what you're saying, though. No one in the world is better looking than Mila Kunis, haha. But when I watched this movie I didn't think it seemed like too much of a stretch.

  • watch richar roepers review if you really like this movie

  • This guy sounds like he has a stick up his ass. Lighten up it's a great movie

  • I totally agree with this review! American comedy is so often: fat guy, skinny (hot) wife

  • @slimfast67 jason segel actually dates rather attractive women generally, so it's not that unrealistic that he'd be with an attractive women in the movie he wrote right?

  • @thenofxlagwagon Well sure, it's not unrealistic that a rich succesfull comedian dates attractive women. On screen though, it would be nice to see that formula broken

  • @slimfast67 Go write one then shit

  • movie really wasn't up to judd's usual standard...all that other "guy slovenly-female hot stuff" is a critic letting his politics get in the way of reviewing a movie...which seems to happen constantly...

  • im not gonna lie, i wasnt really impressed by this movie. In was too long and not funny enough. Felt the same way about knocked up.

  • Actually, I thought Forgetting Sarah Marshall did a great job at developing its female characters in contrast with other guy-centered comedies. I thought both Kristen Bell and Mila Kunis played characters that felt very real.

  • well pretty boys dont always get pretty girls lol you can be an ugly successful skinny rockstar and get any chick.,,, chicks dig musicians that is a given, Most women i know dont like it when their mates are better looking then them... makes them insecure. So average dudes you do have a chance with hot ladies lol

  • yeah...im a bum....I am in front of the desktop all day, im fat but slightly cute, I stink but I have a pretty girlfriend who thinks im handsome hahahaha....me so lucky!!!!!!!

  • They were pretty and clearly above their male counterpart's levels of attractiveness. That said Russel Brand in real life could get three women better than these two and quicker, harsh but true lol.

  • I don't think many characters undertook a great deal of development and if anything the recptionist was the most developed character, so his point on developing female characters in romantic comedy movies didn't wash with me as well as it could have in using this movie as an example.

As for how attractive the female characters are meant to be? I get this man's point, but again I have to defer my agreement to a later date as I don't think either leading women in this film were spectacular.

  • You don't think Kristen Bell is spectacular? :O

    Silence, I kill you!

  • lol at 0:11 its jackie from thats 70s show

  • no crap, she is in the movie

  • it sounded like the narrator was insinuating that Russell Brand is hideous to look at (which he is not). hilarious movie, though.

  • I think he was referring to both Jason Segel and Russell Brand ... and not that they're hideous, but that they're kind of schlubs in different ways, while women have to be thin and perfect yet we're supposed to believe that they'd fall for these guys.

  • I think what he meant is that women in comedies basically just have to be skinny and pretty these days while men can look however they want and are judged more by their comic talentswhich is kind of true - the funniest characters are nearly always men.

  • @FlyingMango94 thats what i understood as well and its kinda true.

  • "You sound like you're from Lon-Don!" Might be the funniest line in the movie. LMAO

  • Yeah, I guess so.. :) But I love also the one where Russel can't find his shoe :D
