This is so true. I really like Spongebob Squarepants, but come on that show won favorite cartoon for most of the last decade now. No, Spongebob sucks Balls (literally) and Avatar rocks totally. If Nickeldeon knew what's good for them they should end the damn show and bury it's remains. Spongebob is not the last cartoon of the 90s and it's not anything like the cartooons of the 90s anyways, so letting go of it would be for the best.

The sheer fact of the matter is that SpongeBob has a gazillion casual observers, and Avatar has a solid core of obsessed fans. Avatar fans voted a lot more than the SpongeBob fans did. That said YEAH AVATAR! I love the smell of irony in the morning. Smells like... victory.
