  • Nice, relaxing composition, but I don't like the kalimba. I just feel it detracts from the overall piece and only serves to interrupt your enjoyment.

  • Very unique, can't wait to see what you're doing with this in 5 years :P - Jesse ~ The Chimney Swifts

  • Uau! :')

  • it's guitarists who compose and perform like this that are the TRUE and REAL masters of the guitar.

  • this guy is LEGIT

  • FUCK YOU TO THOSE WHO DISLIKE, 3 SMALL BUT BIG WORDS, YOU DONT UNDERSTAND!

  • Not only I respect the dang good playing, but the fact that you can turn normal words into titles from God himself, it genius.

  • I hope to hear you play one time, very good! No other words, just superb! Regards!

  • TGH rules!

  • I like this song!

  • GENIOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, SOS UN GENIO!

  • I know all the words.

  • WOOOOOOOOOOW MAN UNCREDIBLE:))))))))))

  • no comprendo a quien no podria gustarle esto

    es asombroso

  • so sweet !

  • Absolutely....WOW :)

  • @MrWarDrome Dude, music isn't about critiquing, it's about enjoying. Everyone hits wrong notes. Even the best of the best. Just relax and if you don't like it watch videos you do like :)

  • Thank you for sharing , you are a genious at the guitar. Fantastic piece

  • @1:15 RAGEQUIT...........subsided

  • 2:25... melts my brain.. saw you in Delran at Cavalry Temple, hooked ever since

  • can somebody tell what tuning this is?

  • @yurama2001nomore standard tuning.

  • just brilliant!

  • WHERE DO THEY TEACH THIS!?!?! This is BEAUTIFUL3 du_ub

  • Went out to buy some colored pencils...thought it would work...

  • @4:20 ...How did you think to do that?

  • Comment removed

  • I do hope that guitar is over 18...

  • @azahnd82 I hope the replay button is over 18.

  • @azahnd82 lol

  • Wow.

  • wicked sick

  • And that's just in regular tuning ladies and gentlemen. Excuse me while I go punch a baby deer.

  • I gotta get my hands in a kalimba.

  • I just like this just because its epic for my ears.

  • I don't think he'll be the next Antoine Dufour or Andy Mckee, he's his own person, he's Trevor Gordon Hall and he's better off that way. Good job by the way.

  • What's wrong whith those guys' guitars...I mean Andy has a guitar with a harp on it , ths guy has some kind of Kalimba...I wouldn't be surprised if i saw one of them having a guitar with a theramin on it..

  • @musicResistances how does that make the guitars "wrong" ? Andy has a custom made instrument, and Trevor has added a Kalimba to his. They both allow them to added different sounds in with their guitar playing, and thats fucking awesome. Don't know how you can possibly call that wrong.

  • @musicResistances but then they would be copying Matt Bellamy's 007 Black Manson with the integrated theremin. These guys want to be original.

  • @Roerekable Matt bellamy's Manson doesn't have a theramin. it's called a kaoss pad which used to be on bellamy's Gliteratti too. Theramin is completely different and requires both hands to pl;ay so it is technically impossible to get built on a guitar :)

  • Absolutely beautiful.....the use of so many different sounds and tones...behind the nut, the guitar top, the harmonics, the strum patterns and inflections and last but not least the kalimba...amazing.

  • The intro is fantastic!

  • i like the sound of the kalimba :D. it makes the song better :D

  • beautiful, I am envious

  • wich tuning??? ... Please Answer :)

  • @PinoyLars this is in standard tuning

  • perfect studying music

  • I do not see (on the page candyrat) tab to this song.

  • I can only wonder what he could do with tunings outside of Standard. If he can play like this in standard, just imagine what he could do under different tunings.

  • @StarCraftSportsNet Go check out his other videos and see - Kalimbatar, That Old Familiar Pain, A Severe Mercy...

  • This is my shopping music

  • The first minute or so reminds me of pink floyd's breathe in the air.

  • @austinha11 they didn't like his singing voice. Great stuff!

  • my favorite part was 0:00 - 5:41

  • @teunv111

    ok

  • why the hell would someone dislike this?

  • @austinha11 Possibly because they've had their brain amputated?

  • YOOOO DISSSSS JAWN CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wow a fingerstyle acoustic player using standard tuning!

  • Amazing expression in your play...i'm really enjoying this !

  • 3:20 is my most favorite part! But I love the rest a lot too.

  • This man is fucking good.

  • @austinha11 I see a kalimba stuck on a guitar, two mics, and a wooden backdrop. There's also some demigod thing playing a song, but I don't see a man unless you're referring to the sound engineer or something... because whoever does the sound for these things is pretty fucking good.

  • @austinha11 I believe you spelled god wrong.

  • @austinha11

Yes, but can he play the theme of Rugrats on that thing?

  • @misterclownface thats the first thing I played when I got it finally working!!!!

  • Just to let you guys know Trevor has been around for a while, finally great to see him getting some recognition for being a great guitarist!

  • This is wonderful. I can only imagine me trying to play this song and my fingers getting into a windsor knot.

  • great new CR artist, I hope there's more of him to come... excellent song!

  • love the jazzy feel in the beginning

  • 2:09- 3:30 is made of pure gold

  • i love the blend of percussion/ guitar/ kalimba... though, it sounded kinda sloppy in some places, still a great listen though.

  • These Leo Kottke, Tuck Andress, Andy McKee clones are getting old.. Just like Shred in the 80s its over done.. with that said.. DUDE great job you put me to sleep.

  • Just wow....

  • @4:48 is tasty

  • You should call it Galimbar

  • Who really need vocals when Trevor is here.

  • Talent hog....jerk. Learn to share.

  • @hulhula22 Talent is unlimited. Get your own ;P

  • @DrakenGuardz Sorry. Ill never make a joke again...

  • @hulhula22 Good. Now away!

  • @DrakenGuardz Do you have to reply to everything I say? Enough. quit talking to me.

  • @hulhula22 I like replying to trolls.

  • fantastic but why the pencil set?

  • @superdanlewis LOL.

  • @superdanlewis its a kalimba, and in answer to your question: 2:10

  • @GarretsShadow dude, ur negativity is putting me to sleep.

  • I listen to this when I am high. OMFG Soooooo good.

  • This is one of the most amazing things I have ever seen on youtube.

  • I cannot believe he came 3rd at the Canadian Guitar Festival. First and second place were nothing compared to him. Thank god CandyRat has ears that work.

  • I can hear Bjork singing to this. =]

  • @jrmhrpr Doesn't even need vocals

  • Excellent stuff. I'd love to see your talent applied to some CCR or some rock country. Bet that would be toe tapping for sure

  • virtuosic :) he gets in touch with universe's voice and quiver... no words to describe it

    red wolf

  • he played it in the 2010 CGF

  • Wonderfully classic yet inovative. this guy has alot to offer.

  • always 10-20 dislikes... poor deaf users

  • Twenty people are listening to some Justin Bieber right about now.

  • Marvelous

  • epic....

  • He may already BE the next Antoine Dufour!

  • @48rcpman48 dunno bout all that.

  • @48rcpman48 Yeah... or he can't simply be himself!

  • Can i dislike the dislikers of this video

  • sweet playin'

  • This guy and Ryan Spendlove. Awesome.

  • Any BEing that is sitting with a guitar in this acoustical-wooden-like-cage YOU BETTER click on and listen; you will know a real Master IS at work. My mouth is drooling; with 'MORE MORE MORE'. What thrills this BEing is creating within my spirit. OMG totally blowing me away with the different sounds resonating from this one guitar. • Comment removed

  • i think that he will be the next Antoine dufour :D

  • @annas20087

if he's going to be the next Antoine Dufour...well there wouldn't be a Trevor Gordon Hall anymore...and that'd be a shame =]

Both guitarists are great, but i get a different vibe for each one.

  • @pinoixboi i'm agree with u brother !

  • @annas20087 it was just a matter of time before guitarists have a strong antoine dufour style in there playing. and i love it hehe

  • You are by far the greatest composer I have seen on this wonderful channel!

  • chord at the end play it for me irl liek he does i do anything u want ;)

  • So gorgeous. Great feel. Great delivery. Such awesome changes and note choices, man. I love it.

  • I wonder how death metal sounds with the acoustics in that room...

  • basically creatively chill as fuck

  • 3:32 is heavenly

  • My mom walked in on me masturbating to this.

  • fucking awesome

  • Absolutely adore this, so rich and such incredible rhythm and melody!

  • Strumming looks a little bit dangerous here. Don't do the Pete Townhend - you'll end up in hospital ;-)

  • wow,my kind of vibe,awesome,..SUB'D,you'tubes got talent!bless you and yours

  • ...oh very very very interesting ! Have you ever been to Vietnam ? oh .. If you lived in Vietnam I could meet you..

  • gonna go get a kalimba and tape it to my guitar like this. shits too good man.

  • the first part sounded like a thunder crashing... and then he plucked those dead strings which sounded like a static electricity... or am I the only one who thinks this way? this guy's a genius!! he created an atmosphere to the song!!

  • I found your sound to be richly relaxing.

    Aloha from Hawaii,

    Thomas

  • wow, ive never seen someone put so much effort into a two chord song

  • @moosecarcas uhhhh not sure if you are joking or not, but there are plenty more than two chords used

  • bravo... exquisite,

  • the playing style reminds me of antoine dufour. i hope you will be as successful as him!
