In England horses should be ridden in the road. The pavement is for pedestrians and you can get in to trouble for riding on the pavement espically if you run into a person.

Like they care? Sadly, most drivers couldn't give a toss if you're on a push bike or a horse. If their car is bigger they don't care. x

It is a width restriction to stop lorries and large vehicles travelling down the road.

hacking is the american version of the word trail riding, as us aussies call it =)

australians call hacking as in going around in circles doing what the judge says, you get what i mean haha.

I always like it when it comes to riding on hard ground because you really hear the movement of the horse.
