@s2loox3ytooxzs2 if you just got him and he's a baby then hes not gonna eat for 1-2 weeks and the swimming is because he's still shy unless he's not moving at all. Then you should go see a vet.

I feed my red eared slider Cyprus pellets and lettuce squares. Your turtle seems really tame, though. My turtle rarely let's me hand-feed him. I usually have to place the food in his water and Pepsi( that's his name) would nibble it.

@TemplarPyro if there is a body of water like a pond or lake nearby, release it. If you really think it's not safe outside, then get a large container or buy a tank, fill it with clean water, and put the turtle in. It will be scared for a while and if it's a baby it prob won't eat for a while either (1-2 weeks). Buy little fish or crickets for it to eat when it is more comfortable. Everyday try to feed it. If it wont eat, leave it alone until the next day. Keep me updated! Where do you live?

There has been a a small drought were we are now, and we found this exact same type of turtle. First turtle for the whole family. For one, it is as scared as possible and keeps trying to crawl away. Theres nothing for him to eat outside of the house. What do I do to calm him/her down.

well I know they've probably told you already but I just can't help to say that the shrimp shouldn't be his main diet feed it reptomin also, if anything that should've been his main diet how do you got reptotreat but not reptomin give it the shrimp as a treat only rarely and feed it other things also like veggies.

Thats adorable dude. I just got two little baby turtles today. They havent ate anything yet. I'm guessing its because they are so new to the tank. Hopefully tomorrow they will eat. I like how u hand feed yours with the tweesers. Will have to try that myself too! =)

they are probably babies right??? most baby turtles like mine refuse to eat these... what you wanna do is go to the pet store and buy the shrimp i showed you in the video. after you are certain that they will eat these go out and buy other foods that might be a little healthier for them and try those out. Babies are more carnivorous so buy foods like worms, pinhead crickets, shrimp etc. If u wanna get live foods make sure they are small enough for ur turtles ok. Keep me updated... good luck :)
