i don't know if its that good but when I was 8 yrs old i hit about 280 yards. now i drive the ball about 550 yards on a regular basis. im only 11 now but my mommy says when i hit puberty i'll hit it 800 yards. not too shabby for me i guess lol not trying to one up anyone here of course

Good for this kid. I started playing around his age... I remember hitting my driver 3-4 times in a row and then an iron on the green and 3 putting every time at age 6-7. Keep playing, kid. I got out of golf in high school to play football but have taken it back up religiously. I walk 18 almost every day.

There are some things you could get your kid to do to make him better but it shouldn't be you dispensing it (unless your pretty good yourself and shoot to at very least a 10 handicap). I teach young kids all the time at a summer camp. They love learning how to swing properly. They actually like the results of a good swing as opposed to just hacking it "for fun." Kids in general have amazing simple swings with yes... good technique. In fact, there are certain kids, one being the age of the kid in the video who would destroy me with their short game. It is really scary. lol. It is fun to watch these perfect swings grow up.

He has a great swing (especially considering his age)... All I would critique is his take away is a little "handsy" which could be prevented by trying to have hime turn his shoulders more during the takeaway... other than that possibly balance is an issue... both of these issues are easy to take care of with drills without the club... Anyway, he has a greats swing and should keep it up.
