  • he rocks people out there

  • Wonderful

  • гениально!

  • As a child...Mr. Francescatti was my favorite violin soloist and listened to all of his CBS Columbia Masterworks.

  • well,i just wanna say here-i never understood, why heifetz became the star, and this guy not.this was better violinist than heifetz for me...I don´t believe Heifetz could do anything,Francescatti couldn´t.Besides,he was much more Musical than Heifetz.

  • Sends a shiver down my spine!

  • my favorite virtuoso

  • jesus effin christ.

  • The thing at the beginning says "Dance of the elves" but i'm almost positive it means dance of the goblins... oh well, phenomenal playing!

  • mace windu, yoda, qui gon jin thanks you

  • vengerov sux compared with him.

  • Vengerov, from what I've listened to, tends to play very heavily... ALL of the time. While his Symphonie Espagnole sounds as shockingly powerful as I could possibly hope for, this isn't a piece I would want to hear him play.

Francescatti's seamlessness and clarity, no matter what he's playing, is a quality I haven't yet seen matched.

  • realy nice sound and amazing technique

  • Good to finally hear one of the editors of international edition music play... great performance

  • Un-Freaking-Believable

  • Francescatti is a legend... shows his technical side here.. but definately really musical too.

  • Zino Francescatti was a late bloomer, but he became I think, one of the top two violinists of his generation, the other being none other than Jascha Heifetz. Francescatti was only one year younger than Heifetz, but his career lasted longer. His playing was top-notch all the way up into his retirement in his mid-seventies. Zino Francescatti played a violin made by Sanctus Seraphin. He had an impeccable technique and arguably the most beautiful violin tone since Fritz Kreisler.

  • Didn't Francescatti play on a Stardivarius? The "Hart ex Francescatti" Stradivarius?

  • He owned both.

  • just search Google "francescatti seraphin"

  • You are exactly right..the Harte Strad

  • I prefer this version to nasty Vengerov's version

  • perlman did another version equally fantastic..

  • impeccably technique. one of the all-time superstars of violin. i've always loved his playing.

  • I really like his style of playing... this sort of reminds me of William Grant Still's Danza de Panama (correct title?)

  • very sunny and beautiful tone
