Was talking to a member in 1st Ward Fayetteville today and we were talking about members we both know from years ago . She told of one that came to Church on Memorial Day . He hasn't been to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day

Now this Testimony is more the Uniqueness of True Christianity & not another copy.--Book of Romans; Exceedingly Sinfulness of man, God's Law, Judgment upon mankind. THESE come first in Salvation, BEFORE agreeing Jesus is the way--Salvation comes in certain Order of Understanding before (left out here, as most do) HOLY Spirit of God calls you to Repent (also not real clear here)--One must know where they Truly stand w/ God before just Jumping ahead to some Saved/Born Again title--read Gal 3:22-24

Though I respect this gentleman's decision to leave the church, I can't help but feel there is more to this story. I don't agree with the speakers account that Mormon's do not study the Bible. I am LDS, and I study the Bible often. I'm actually undertaking the task of reading the entire cannon from from to back. I'm happy for this guy, truly, but there are holes in this man's story. Not everything this man says is how every LDS member thinks or feels.

Agree on a premise and one can prove anything logically. What is the premise of the LDS church: Joseph Smith was a Prophet. Devote yourself to this premise, and anything that comes from his hand or his mouth must be true. So, through the miracle of "expectation," if one works hard enough and prays hard enough and expects strongly enough to get a "testimony," he just might get it -- the miracle of expectation, the placebo effect. Better think again. Are you faithful, or are you gullible?

This guy follows the typical anti-Mormon pattern.

What this guys parents and ancestors did or were has no baring on him. The Book of Mormon shows that a prophet of God had two sons who were evil and apostate. Eli in the bible was a similar situation.

Hey Canada, in the LDS church it is all about appearance and if you "feel" you are "worthy"--right. Don't worry about truth, facts or what the New Testament says,they just get in the way. ONLY our God, Jesus, is "worthy",until you give your life to ONLY Jesus, not a corporation based on a false prophet seeing an angel of light that taught another gospel not based on grace- you will not receive Eternal Life. Read 1st John 5:9-14

Mormons believe that basically everyone is going to be saved at one point or given the choice.

Mormons aren't saved, especially if they're a "good" active Mormon believing in the lies of Joseph Smith. They are under the law, so they have fallen from grace. Christ will profit them nothing and He has become of no effect because if righteousness come by the law, Christ died in vain. And, as mechanicV8 said, Mormons believe almost everyone is saved, but the Bible says otherwise. Matt 7:13-14. They think the Bible has been tampered with. That's the spirit of antiChrist.
