This is long overdue for XC hard tail mountain bikes. I never use my granny ring in the front so not having it in this set up is just awesome. And a 11/25 10 speed gear spread in the back would just give me one more middle gear compared to a 11/23 9 speed road cassette. They should of came out with this setup at least 3 years earlier and if they did they would be mainstream by now and not just super high end. Shimano is coming out with 10 speed XTR by the end of this year.
