As much as I love to rip on Ribeiro being a dickless fuck who loves to flop worse than Vlade Divac, he just flinched there. Lemme swing a stick at your face in that situation, but not make any contact. I guarantee you that you would do the same thing. I'm surprised though that Ribeiro didn't decide to flip around on the ice like he actually did get hit in the face with a stick though.

The Stars announcer for tonight's game against the Preds accused Ribs for selling a call, too. It was based on the fact that the hands of the guy who shoved him, never connected with Ribeiro's face, and he ignored the fact that Ribeiro's own shoulder was driven up into his own face, popping him hard. I wonder sometimes if the announcers are really that stupid or if they make up stuff to keep things "interesting. Man, my comments are long. I'll shut up now.

In 1/2 of a sec, he decided to do the most lame and unobvious sell ever and thought, "Hey, I shall spend 1/5th of a second on this sell and disguise it so it looks exactly like a natural flinch reaction to a piece of wood appearing in front of my face suddenly and without warning, and I'll look like I'm briefly afraid of that stick wedging between my visor and eyes, and hopefully the ref won't notice". From Leafs fan comments and Ribs' history, I would have thought he pulled a Crosby type head thrust. After seeing it for the first time, all he did was flinch when he saw a stick coming toward his face. What would you do in that situation? You can't blame someone's instinct reaction for the ref being out of position and blowing the call.

Ribeiro has such a history of embellishing none worse then in the playoffs against Boston. However I think if that's anyone but Komisarek there wouldn't have been a call. Komi has a reputation and is going to get called a lot whether it's warented or not, it usually is in his case.
