Have any of you applied for the UK auditions for China's Got Talent? They're recruiting in the UK now, you can find out more on the IPCN website. Hope it's of use!
I think you will find this is a lie. Shaolin temple Uk in tuffnell park is the only official branch of the Shaolin Temple and classes are taught by shifu shi yanlei, and shifu shi Yanzi
WOW! please please please help me! Ive been looking all over the place for shaolin kung fu training! If this is in south west london or if theres any shaolin kung fu training grounds in south west london or anywhere near south west london plz let me know!!!!!!! I rreally want to start
Credit for working hard to develop skills. It seems you're putting together a performance group rather than training Shaolinquan? Your forms look like the standard stuff put together for the shaolin tours. Do you guys know any traditional Shaolinquan i.e pre 1980? can you fight? when you use weapons I don't see any martial intent but I do see a lot of waving around of weapons training equipment. No disrespect but you look more like chinese state circus than Shaolinquan. I hope you improve.
yeah der real good but dis is not the only official gonfu training ground in the UK and i no dis because Jet Li's old coach opened a wushu club in East London a good decade ago or more soo dat cant b tru
jus wanted 2 put dat down coz dat bothered me dat u sed dat
@MechPhantom Not Shi Yan Lei. Also the peace pagoda is not "the only official training ground for shaolin gongfu in the uk". These guys seem to work very hard which is good. I train traditional shaolinquan and have trained martial arts in Battersea park since 1986 and now my students train shaolin and tai chi by the peace pagoda. We have never seen these guys there.
@MechPhantom Yes it is very hard to learn Shaolin. Some of our people train 5 days a week a couple of hours each time and some only once or twice a week. Are you based in Singapore?
@jasma98 hmm ok after all nothing is easy, all things r hard, but wif pratice anything can be easy. Yea ow do u know im form sG? btw sadly sg doesnt hv any shaolin schools or so.Its so fortunate for u uk has these.thx
@MechPhantom Actually there's some good shaolin in sg check out these. Pan Nam pugilistic society Rochor Center, near Bugis MRT (take the Rochor Centre, Victoria Street exit, parking available in the Rochor Centre) on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Beginners are welcome to start at anytime. Call Master Tan Soh Tin: (+65) 979 60328 or wahnam shaolin institute singapore. You should check out ip man wing chun singapore. They are v good. Speak to Bertland Lim tell him Jef from London sent you. Good luck
@MechPhantom both are good. It just depends on how you train and how you use the skills of your chosen art. The best thing to do is go along to a couple of shaolin classes and check out a couple of wing chun classes to see which one suits you best. Good luck. :-)
@jasma98 i think im gonna go for wing chun coz if its more practical in a fight ,better than shaolin for me coz shaolin doesnt hv much fighting and only most focused on performing ,weapons and stuff unrelated to hand to hand combat.Thx anyway see ya
@MechPhantom Shaolin does have a lot of fighting and is very practical real traditional Shaolin is not focussed on performance. Just check out Gong fu london on you tube or their website and you will see real Shaolin fighting skills. The reason I'm not so keen on Team shaolin is because they lead people like yourself to think that shaolin is all about performance and is impractical! Wing chun is also very practical too. Check out singapore wing chun and tell Bertland Lim Jef sent you.
@jasma98 ya im joining wing chun soon. But 99% of the time u see shaolin doesnt show their practicality i dont know why. ok i go look at the website. see u thx
@jasma98 continued . Oh i notice that the animal styles r forms rite? not actually used for fighting. Its just to keep the practitioner fit flexible stuff like dat rite? They train sanshou or sanda for actual fighting. Gongfu londond uses sanda cool. Btw sanda is also shaolin is it? thx
amazingggg!!!
