As for the phrase 'A crew sees crying knees' you know when someone is crying like really hard their leg become weak so they fall to their knees(you see it all the time in movies,anime,etc). I think he might be crying because he loves her but she refuses his love (its like the feeling of depression from being rejected, or a broken heart). The crew he is referring to might be others around him who sees him crying while on his knees.
