HE IS GREAT! What a delight to have met him twice after opera performances. He's such an easy going guy who loves being dressed almost western style....... the last thing one would think of from such a formidable singer. The thing that is so great about him is that he does it all....... Italian, French, German, Russian and his role as the preacher in Floyd's 1956 Susanna is absolutely a knockout........ the best.

@redhead529 i agree!  the definitive version. i like Thomas Quasthoff's version, too, but still think Ramey's is the best.
