Obama was just on TV lauding his accomplishment of creating 55,000 jobs for GM with the bailout. Lets do the math : $55,000,000,000 bailout to create 55,000 jobs. That's $1 million dollars a job. Average pay for a GM worker : $75,000.00 a year. 13 years worth of salary to KEEP paying a GM worker that much money. So now we can pay MORE money than usual for a GM car, which is the company I have always chosen to buy my cars from. Brilliant! What a moron. You laud this as an accomplishment?

His first year was a failure and now with his proposed 3.8 trillion dollar budget and raising taxes, his 2nd year is going to be a worse failure-if that is possible.

On the bloomberg cable television channel around 2003 an economic adviser quite siply said GM - General motors cannot compete with rivals due its generous pension scheme which will bankrupt it.
This points to the question of why the US government didnt just rescue GM's pension plan?

I don't support any of the bailouts, but at the same time I don't think the bailouts are being used to get votes. GE? The unions had to concede so much in these deals that I am sure their membership is unhappy.

The banks and aig were bailed out for payback. Fannie and Freddie the two Government entities that have cost taxpayers billions over the past 30 years should be left to fail. Congresses community reinvestment regulations caused the housing bubble. They donate lots of campaign money. They should be left to fail. Congress has not even changed the regulations on them.

Your GOP talking point version "Fannie and Freddie" is about 1/10,000 of the problem.
