im using this bottom piece and then a long tank top and putting crystals on it like her origami dress 4 halloween.. btw how big was the sphere u used?

I can't remember how big it was, but it was probably close to a foot in diameter, possibly an inch or two smaller.

I used black gorilla tape (duct tape, but stronger), a cereal box and two half spheres of styrofoam from a craft shop. Beyond that, I was just kind of making it up as I went. I had never made any other tape crafts before this, so it was just trial and error, which is what made it so fun.

I didn't paint it because it would be extra work. I would need to create a surface to be painted which would involve using even more cardboard and foam pieces to shape them, while still using tape.

Using tape provided the glossy look and texture that I wanted, as well.

That's just how I did it. It had to be thick enough to not fall apart, plus I was just making it up as I went.

That's the skirt (if you could call it that). I've added more to the top of it to make it look more like a skirt (and less like a freaky hip monster), but I will show that part later.
