Amarillo is certainly the best city in Texas in the summer time. Got Tanglewood, ACC, PHPM, Thompson Park, Polk, 6th... Cadillac Ranch, Dynamite museum, hunting, fishing, a great skate park and cheap places to play golf.

You grow up in Amarillo thinking that it sucks, but then after you see the rest of the world, you realize Amarillo has it all.

I saw Tony Christie at Southport in 1976, supporting flash-in-the-pan Diane Solomon (whatever happened to *her*?) and Amarillo stole the show. Solomon was a wonderful singer but Christie was already a big recording artist and has deservedly lasted.
