  • This is a British built and designed plane, Canadians can stop claiming achievments of others again (they also think they burnt down the white house). 8,000 were built in the United Kingdom, and only 1,000 were built in North america, 300 were also built in Australia

  • Fantastic soundtrack for the footage.

  • Er, wrong music for 1940s plonker, where's Glenn Miller? You've ruined it.

  • @notrut Actually I'm 48yrs old and i think the music fits well with the power and prowess of such a awesum warbird....

  • Are all of you idiots? The mosquito was made in the UK, and also by De Havilland in Ontario Canada, as well as Australia.

    Read and learn dummy.

  • I live 4 miles from Salisbury Hall, the home of the De Havilland Mosquito, this a place worth a visit as it has the prototype mossie in yellow !! and Fb version and photo recky version!!

  • Strange comments. I live almost next door to the factory where the Mosquito was built! (that's in Britain, not North Amerika).

  • In reality there were many brave pilots and aircrew of many Allied nations.

  • At the end of the day where it was put together and parts being out sourced to are neither here nor there, if the British hadnt have designed and flew the prototype it wouldnt have come into being would it? Therefor it is a British aircraft, Poles flew spitfires doesnt make it a Polish plane though does it!

  • the vast majority were built 100 percent in

england. its on the internet. dont let bullies jerk you around.

  • Technoshit soundtrack ruins it. This "music" is for head banging morons

  • @HermannGoering - Lets hope you go the same way as your namesake. This 'head banging moron' enjoyed it.

  • my grandfather flew the mosquito during the war

  • Doing a project on this one. This baby was quintessentially Canadian. I love it.

  • Not really but ok.

  • Yea really. Canadian birch wood, Canadian pilots, Canadian company etc.

  • It was a British aircraft, designed and made in Britain by a British designer who worked for a British aviation company.

As for materials used, it was also made of Ecuadorean Balsawood, doesnt make it ecuadorean though does it.

  • You've done your research... Admittedly, my source was a book that actually was referring to a separate aircraft. Good call. But the plane was still flown by many Canadians, and parts of the planes were manufactured in Canada by Canadian companies... so I guess I wan't completely misinformed.

  • The contract to produce 1,100 Mosquito fighter-bombers was awarded to De Havilland, but they only did the final assembly. General Motors made the fuselages, Massey Ferguson made the wings, Boeing made the tailplanes, the flaps were made by Canadian Power Boat Company, and the undercarriages were built by Otaco. Numerous other smaller companies were also involved in producing other parts for this aircraft as well.

  • yep General Motors of Canada made 1000 fuselages of which 500 made it to the war effort.

  • Thats right, and the Canadians were as fine Pilots as they were Soldiers and Sailors. IMO

  • Assuming that that comment wasn't sarcastic, I agree.

  • No, it wasnt ment sarcastically.

  • Good to know! It's been a pleasure buddy.

  • Godd. Nice one.

  • it should be an intro to some video game

  • fantastic plane,good film footage,shit soundtrack,change it for 633 squadron soundtrack please

  • 633 squadron would not fit this video at all. You could try being at least a little bit original.

  • Nice plane, awful noise (not willing to call that noise "music")...

  • Who cares about noise when the whole world is at WAR! Simple one of the greatest planes in history.

  • this is a VIDEO, not war, otherwise every warplane video could be matched with nasty audio/music just because it's a war video

  • nice video man

music is alright sometimes doesn't fit but whatever you made it!

    it is good

    GREAT PLANE

  • good vis just shite music

  • The footage is good, but completely ruined by the irritating and inappropriate soundtrack. Fix it please.

  • Horrible editing & EXTREMELY irritating music. Also, much of the footage isn't even mosquito based. It's patched together crap!!! If your going to do it do it right my grandad got killed flying one so do everone a favor & fix this crap or get rid of it.

  • Stupid music

  • My favorite WWII aircraft.

    PS.. Good music

  • Mine to. Carrying the greatest aircraft engine in aviation history. The RR Merlin!

  • Thank you for bringing this video to YouTube. One can only wish that it had not been contaminated by the disgusting and utterly inappropriate music choice. What is it? Rap? Garage? or just plain Crap?
