I like GH better...instruments durable, drums durable, and its easier to play but yet some song difficulty is a pain...when i got rock band 2 the red pad broke the 2nd day i had it...and the rock band 2 guitar broke when my friends chiuahwah jumped on it...my 60 lb beagle jumped on my GH:WT guitar and did nothing....Still no issues with GH then there is Rock Band

The drum set that you showed was the ion drum set, not the one that comes with the game. I personally think that the rb 2 drums beat gh because the rb drums can have 4 pads and 2 cymbols, but that is only if you buy the cymbols. Out of the box, I see the gh drums as a better set, only because it comes with the cymbols and you don't have to pay for them separately
If your console is connected to the internet, Rock Band 2 is by far the better game, as the 1000+ downloadable song collection is insanely good. The stock drums suck, however, and the guitar's only decent function is the solo buttons. Offline, Guitar Hero is a better series, also with a lot of DLC available. I own all the games from both series, and a few spinoffs, and by far Rock Band 2 with a GH5 guitar and Ion drums are the way to go.

All that you need to go out and buy for the Ion drum kit is a "drum brain" or something like that and it can function as a proper electronic drum kit. So it kinda is "real" drums.
nope. they're called Ions and they're $200 without cymbals and $300 with. There is also an upgrade kit you can use to turn them into an electronic drum kit. I'm sure if you look around a bit you could find the ions for a cheaper price.

fail. My WT kit pads and cymbals where busted and cracked after 3 months. It took my RB2 stock kit 6 months, and thats only because the pads bubbled. Ion drum rocker is far more superior than both, and you can buy double bass couplers for it. RB wins
You can't be serious of course rock band 2 is better. The main factor is the drums. Rock band drums are a million times better than that guitar hero bullshit. That's why you can play World Tour with the Rock Band drums. Also the song list for Rock Band 2 is way better. Maybe guitar hero should have put more emphasis on the music as opposed to product placement and character models (Billy Corgan, Ozzy Osborne) and dug up some better tracks. No offense but Coldplay don't stack up to Disturbed.

I've had both. I sold my GH4 for Rock Band 2 and RB2 is A LOT better. I'm not biased because I've had them both and I way prefer RB2. Rock Band in general is better than GH. Even the guitar in RB is better but what really sets it apart is the drums. RB drums are SO much better!
Rock Band led to the demise of Guitar Hero so it is obvious which one is better.

Both games are great, honestly.
In my point of view, Rock Band 2 is better.
1. Instrument Quality
2. Songs(including DLC)
3. Graphics
4. It is easier to play online due to how many people own the game.
5. Rock Band did not copy guitar hero, in fact, guitar hero copied almost all the songs from Rock Band 2.
The drums aren't great on Guitar hero either.

Again, I do the drums like 99.955% of the time when I play either so this might be a whole different argument in terms of the guitar & bass aspect.

u do know the cymbals are sold seperatly for rock band 2 but not on gh. if u dont get the cymbals 4 rb2 , it will look lese cool. but i still like rb better. i have rockband 1, lego rockband, and the beatles rockband. i also have gh wourld tour, but the drums broke. but the rb ones are less delacate.

i agree that rockband is much better than guitar hero even though i still love guitar hero but the new band hero drums kicks rockband drums as the stock drums are shit and why would u pay $300 on drums to play a game? why not buy real drums!

All that you need to go out and buy for the Ion drum kit is a "drum brain" or something like that and it can function as a proper electronic drum kit. So it kinda is "real" drums.

nope. they're called Ions and they're $200 without cymbals and $300 with. There is also an upgrade kit you can use to turn them into an electronic drum kit. I'm sure if you look around a bit you could find the ions for a cheaper price.

the ion drum set is pretty good, but its pointless during gameplay, unless you know exactly when to hit what cimbol.
i'm pretty much neutral for RB2 drums and GH:WT drums... they both can be used as electric drums, and they are both compatible with each game

fail. My WT kit pads and cymbals where busted and cracked after 3 months. It took my RB2 stock kit 6 months, and thats only because the pads bubbled. Ion drum rocker is far more superior than both, and you can buy double bass couplers for it. RB wins

You can't be serious of course rock band 2 is better. The main factor is the drums. Rock band drums are a million times better than that guitar hero bullshit. That's why you can play World Tour with the Rock Band drums. Also the song list for Rock Band 2 is way better. Maybe guitar hero should have put more emphasis on the music as opposed to product placement and character models (Billy Corgan, Ozzy Osborne) and dug up some better tracks. No offense but Coldplay don't stack up to Disturbed.

i have both and i like gh more it has more songs and great songs and they are charted right and u can creat ur own song rock star instrument. have special apperences ex. ozzy osbourne, and ted nugent and real life croud reactions and rb1 and 2 are allmost the same exept diff songs

The crowd reactions are A LOT better in RB. also prefer how you have to hit the hammer ons dead on instead of whenever you want. The drums are just better. I think even you can admit that.

I've had both. I sold my GH4 for Rock Band 2 and RB2 is A LOT better. I'm not biased because I've had them both and I way prefer RB2. Rock Band in general is better than GH. Even the guitar in RB is better but what really sets it apart is the drums. RB drums are SO much better!
