Great performance from Eddie as G. He gives a calm spirtual and wise performance that you fully believe.

I said nothing about false prophets, I submit that this is a very good movie with a stable, conveyable message which actively improves the lives of millions, perhaps even billions.

@woodmountain68 Yes, yes it genuinely does. A mans past should have no real bearing on his present, so long as he has vowed to change. If it turned out Murphy was a serial rapist prior to this superb role, it'd still be a great movie!

This movie validates Eddie Murphy as an actor. For me, it defines his skill and talent. He is nothing less than brilliant in this role. One of my favorite movies of all time.
