  • Ojala estuvieras aquí..

  • Doyle Bramhall II is among the 5 finest performers on earth today, IMHO.

  • 4:46 - 4:49

  • I'M GOING TO SEE HIM LIVE TODAY !

  • O.o

  • O.o

  • a tama bubinga drumkit i think the drummer plays on and if i am not totaly wrong then it is made from rainforest wood !!! =(

  • come to greece Roger we expecting you

  • @Metalgasparos erxetai

  • Foda!

  • 11 people are lonely

  • The guitarist with the red strat which is not upside down is Doyle Bramhill II. His father was a blues drummer who worked with Stevie and Jimmy Ray Vaughn among others. Doyle later played with Jimmy Ray and also played on 3 Clapton albums. The Strart is weird....cool but weird. It has right handed neck bolted onto a lefty body.

  • Red guitar is not upside down. The cutaway is on the bottom like it should be.

  • I don't understand what he said at the end... he said how I wish they were here?

  • @EmAlval he said it right: "how i wish you were here"

  • The guy with the red strat is playing his guitar upside down. His guitar is strung with the low E on the bottom and the high E on top.

  • @IvanMtl It happens when a southpaw borrows a guitar from a right hand.

  • who is for another water and gilmour reunion

  • wtf? i think that's a right handed guitar being played backwards?

  • @chivitajm Bloody amazing, isn't it? :)

  • @chivitajm YES , U R CORRECT!!! HE JUST HAS IT MODIFIED TO HIS PREFERENCE, HE IS ONE AMAZING GUITAR PLAYER, IT WAS ALSO UPSIDE DOWN.....HE'S GREAT ISN'T HE?

  • @chivitajm either way, its pretty damn impressive to me, very very talented young man, would love to know the story of how roger came to meet up with him and take him on tour with him, well....ya, he's amazing i know that....sounds like gilmour did back in the day too, to me this is an ALL STAR LINE UP!!!

  • this is for ALL MEMBERS OF FLOYD, sure sounds good, sounds like floyd to me, Roger is a HUGE part of Pink Floyd, hell ...might as well admit it, he is floyd. He very clearly says at the end, yes indeed ....how we wish THEY were here.

  • @Noahman23431

    do i give a fuck?

  • @Noahman23431

what the fuck do u know about pink floyd anyways what r u fucking 10?

  • @Noahman23431

    roger was in befor gilmour

it started out syd mason write and waters

then gilmour joined and they kicked out syd because he had mental health issues

those are the facts ur dumb

  • What is this perversion of this great song?? 1st off Roger waters...2nd off non acoustic guitar throughout the song..........

  • @Noahman23431 WTF are you talking about?WAKE UP!!!!!!

  • .. Following the loss of their principal songwriter, Pink Floyd bassist and vocalist Roger Waters became the band's lyricist and conceptual leader, with Gilmour assuming lead guitar and sharing lead vocals. With this lineup Pink Floyd achieved worldwide critical and commercial success with The Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here, Animals and The Wall.

  • Under Barrett's leadership they released two charting singles, "Arnold Layne" and "See Emily Play", and a successful début album, The Piper at the Gates of Dawn (1967). Guitarist and vocalist David Gilmour joined Pink Floyd several months prior to Barrett's departure from the group due to deteriorating mental health in 1968.

  • The band originally consisted of university students Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright and Syd Barrett. Founded in 1965, they first became popular playing in London's underground music scene in the late 1960s.

  • DOYLE U R AMAZING!!

  • Que buena cancion y no voy a ir a su concierto f...!!!!

  • Withouut David Gilmour, Roger Waters is NOTHING.

  • @thetrumpetstar If thats was true then David is nothing without Roger. But they both have much to offer without being together.

Nope, I think they both are just awesome even without each other. I respectfully disagree sir.

  • @marcusdolby1 You are very wise, my friend.

  • @thetrumpetstar what an idiodic comment. Roger Waters has been selling the Wall Tour out everywhere he goes, and your saying he is nothing. Don't be such a moron. Roger Waters made Pink Floyd what it is today. Dave Gilmour will always be lucky that he was in Rogers good graces. Because Roger has proved time and time again he can do Pink Floyd Without Gilmour and Mason.

  • @austin27332 i think both are genius ...

  • @cleotine I would have to agree there.

  • crap version

  • damn that guy with red strat is very weird

  • @k0stil he's a great guitar player.

  • @k0stil the "guy with red strat" sort of reminds me of Syd

  • Roger Waters also writes Dark Side Of the Moon. He is a absolute leader like David Gilmour

  • Former Pink Floyd member David Gilmour will make a surprise appearance during former bandmate Roger Waters's upcoming 30th anniversary tour for The Wall, announced Waters via his Facebook page on July 14. Marking a reconciliation after years of feuding, the two will perform together at an as-yet-unknown gig during the 2010-11 tour.

  • This is the all time best version of Wish You Were Here. Roger nails it. He sings it with feeling cause he knows what the song means since he wrote it.

  • @Bondsback2325 Agree! This is better than studio version sung by Gilmour

  • roger waters is great but no one can sing it like david can

  • @mochs180 True that man

  • if not through the hands of david, as david is not roger. you can't shake truth.

  • Why the hell does ppl complain over how they play this song? Or any pink floyd's songs whatsoever? I mean, this is beautiful music, and i personally think this is the best version of this song ive ever heard.

Complaining over a pink floyd song is just...wrong...This concert was about what? 9-10 years ago?

So everything you say won't change anything.

In my opinion, i think Roger Waters did a great job on this, as well as the other musicians there.

  • this guy still into gerbals??!

  • just got two words for this guy: HOLY FUCK!

  • i didn't know richard gere wrote a song about syd and that he actually plays the guitar!!!

  • @RingelhutsNiece The so-called ironic comparison with Richard Gere is simply NOT funny. We're talking about Roger Waters here, co-founder of Pink Floyd and one of the greatest lyricists and musicians of all time.

And all these Waters vs. Gilmour forum feuds are just a bunch of crap, bottom line is they are both great musicians who made mind-blowing music together

  • @RingelhutsNiece LOL.. nice observation!!

  • @RingelhutsNiece haha.

i was lookin, thinkin, 'hmm he reminds me of someone'

    :)

  • @RingelhutsNiece Thats Roger Waters.

  • @RingelhutsNiece I laughed so badly :'D

  • @RingelhutsNiece LOL :D

  • @RingelhutsNiece hahahaha! nice one!

  • @RingelhutsNiece OMG, THAT ISN'T RICHARD GERE, ROGER WATERS JUST LOOKS LIKE HIM! LMFAO!!

  • @RingelhutsNiece what are you talking about dude. this is not richard gere! this is the god of rock music, Roger Waters! i know you are just joking.

  • @RingelhutsNiece i once pulled up roger and gere on split screen and the resembelance was remarkable, though

roger beat him out. if see old pics of him in the early days he was really geeky.

  • That Guitarrist SUCKS he Damned all the Song and Fuck The Great Solo of Gilmour in Comfortably Numb

  • @danieltsss The guitarist doesn't suck, he just isn't Dave Gilmour.

  • @Coppertunes but he doesnt have feeling!!!!! Theres a lot of Guitarrist that play 1000 times better he only play guitar because is his work...

  • For me this is like a breath of fresh air ,hearing the real talent behind the Floyd doing the classics as he feels them, come on? how many times have you heard the original, absolutely love this, superb!

  • rodger will always be one of the great founders of inovative music while others silently feed off of his lone talent

  • David gilmors voice still kicks it better

  • master : )

  • i'm so glad i spent $180 for 2 tickets(O.o) to see the wall live in november :D

  • the guitar is backwards ,...... :O Doyle mother fucker :D

  • @kharlos84 Man he is left handed, to do what he does is something very bloody special you silly bloody shit.....

  • @thegomez56 oh ok...

  • i love the left handed guitarist

  • Graham Bob G says Hi !!

  • dude, is waters being autotuned? it sounds like it! listen to the live 8 version to hear his REAL voice - his real voice is better.

  • Dude's (Waters') real voice has finished. ;)

  • true...

lol all of that screaming on Careful with that Axe really killed his voice

  • And Roger isn't tone deaf!

  • Viva doyle Bramhall ll, brilha muito na guitarra.

  • i want to be like doyle one day

  • nostalgic!! wonderful!!

  • The chap at the start is using a variax, love it.

  • Roger was the body and the soul of Pink Floyd...Fantastic man!!!

    Elvio from Argentina

  • @rimula01 no they all made pink floyd.

  • I wish sexy bramhall didnt chew gum on stage lol

  • yeah, Roger is a pretty good singer, but as he is particually tone deaf, he's not singing verry musical... And he is good at singing false as well, listen to pink floyd live conserts before the wall. Gilmours guitar, voice and musicality is missing

  • @FenderMeddle94

    Are you stupid?

Gilmour sung a lot more before The Wall.

And he joined the band many years befor that.

  • @JohannesMarslew95 what the fuck are you talking about? xD i haven't said anything about that

  • @JohannesMarslew95 What the fuck are you talking about? xD

  • Gilmour is better than Waters... Bad singing...

  • @AndreRed90 but without waters there would be no Pink Floyd...

  • you are at least too damn idiot to say that waters is a bad singer..he is half of the pink floyd's voce along with david gilmour who also is a great man and musician....

  • waters is bad singer

  • @tangalanga21

bad singer...come on man...try to hear d emotion flowin out of his voice...roger is a charming man n a true rockstar

  • @tangalanga21 Waters is great, again and again I listen to him and each time is better

  • i was 5 m from the scenen, when waters rock Augustenborg 2007, here in dk....great my best concert...ever...love it

  • Are you out of your mind.... he's a fantastic singer!

  • there all as good as each other to be fair

  • in the end: "i wish they were here"

what did he mean? Pink Floyd?

  • Maybe Barrett?

  • @vitinbarbosa33 good question and good answer

  • @vitinbarbosa33 probably I miss them. Roger if you ever read this you are a genius dont ever change :)

  • @vitinbarbosa33 the original band

  • Syd Barrett and ......

  • @vitinbarbosa33 He said "I wish that you were here"

  • @vitinbarbosa33 Syd Barrett and Richard Wright

  • @vitinbarbosa33 yes he meant the rest of the band

  • @vitinbarbosa33

    i don`t think so.

  • @vitinbarbosa33 He is not saying that... "and i wish that you were here" he sings...

  • @vitinbarbosa33 That could be the heavy accent or it could mean the members of the band (not wanting to play or that have passed away).

  • @vitinbarbosa33 Syd Barrett

  • I saw roger waters live back in 2004 in Rock in Rio Lisbon....was the best concert of my life...even though i was so far from the stage....it was simply magical......long live Pink Floyd and long live Roger Waters

  • Wrong, Glmour created harmony and melody FIRST, then Waters made the lyrics.

  • 1 put ur middle finger on ur nose

2 say the name of someone you like

3 tommarrow they will ask you out or say they love you

4 heres the catch post to 2 other vids this is true it tried it and it worked

  • i like this version, but David Gilmoures version is much better. But sure, Roger Waters have a very special voice

  • Roger Waters' version craps all over David Gilmour's, he found a whole new way to sing it and its much better, Roger wrote it so he should sing it!

  • WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU? Gilmour sings it much better. Plus, You nee to look @ the songwrting credit again. This was writen by Gilmour/Waters.

  • well thats ur opinion, i disagree. and derr i know it was credited to both of them but roger waters came up with the concept and wrote the lyrics, all david gilmour did was add a guitar solo and maybe he helped with the intro, and by saying that roger wrote it i meant he wrote the lyrics, its stupid when people sing someone else's lyrics because they dont know where its coming from and cant express any emotion or feeling towards the song, like gilmours version...

  • I can respect your opinion. However, Roger did not come up with the concept. David was playing a random guitar riff during a recording session which Roger was impreesed by. So, Roger wrote some lyrics to go with the tune. I still think that the better singer is David, at least in this case.

  • Your are dead wrong dude.... WYWH was already a complete song harmonically and melodically when Waters came up with the lyrics. No disrespect to Waters, the lyrics are genius, but the original idea and feeling are Glimours... this version must be the worst i have ever seen, it sounds almost country music... totally killed the emotion and the guitar solos are wack!! try the "In Concert" version by Gilmour, if you have any senstivity at all you will feel the diference

  • You say David's version is stupid cause he didn´t write the lyrics... isn't then, by that logic, this version stupid as well for using Gilmour´s chords and melodies, not knowing ¨where they came from¨? who´s stupid now¨?

  • who are you talking to? me? because i am not a dude...anyway, thats what me and CPMForce are saying, maybe you should read these posts again? so david came up with the concepts and roger wrote the lyrics, so david is still singing someone else's lyrics and what i say still stands. and i DIDNT say his version was stupid i said its stupid when people sing someone else's lyrics for reasons which i have already stated.

  • You didnt state no reasons by the way... you just made a plain judgemental statement. This song is about Syd Barrett,. he was the original inspiration for David as much as for Roger, and David was a friend of Barrett as much as Roger. They learnt to play guitar as kids practicing together for f*cks sake!! Sure Gilmour knew perfectly what he was feeling when he WROTE the beautiful harmonies and melodies that Waters PISSED ON in this awful version. David came up with it first... HIS song, period.

  • judgemental statements ARE reasons when im expressing my opinion.

and whats with all the swearing? if your that nervous that my good ideas are starting to sway you opinion then stop replying. anyway roger's aunt lived a few doors down from syd when they were young and david only knew syd when he was f-ed up on LSD and soon kicked out of the band

  • You need to get your facts straight. David and Syd knew each other long before Floyd existed. They even traveled together around France, when they were both established in Cambridge. Gilmour studied Highschool in Perse School, thats in Hills Road, same street where Barrett studied and lived during highschool. Its well known that they practiced together nearly every day after school, along with Bob Klose and Roger Waters.

But what the f+ck you know about Pink Floyd anyway?

  • hmm ok so im not a stalker, devoting my life to researching pink floyd, never leaving my computer, i do have a life, sorry if i didnt know what street it was that gilmours school was on and that i didnt know they had a holiday in f*cking France!

do you really want me to state every single fact i know about pink floyd? what would that prove? woah i know more information than some random guy on the internet, who f*cking cares you muppet,

and anyway i have only 3 characters left to comment.

  • Gilmour only strummed out a tune, something all guitarists are constantly doing, he gave the song some potential and roger's lyrics gave this song the potential and turned it into the great song that it is today, so i beleive that it is ROGER's song! and im sure the majority of people would also beleive that, period

  • What you call strumming out a tune is technically musical composition, and in that area,Waters has shit on David. Furthermore, not only David made the chords and harmonic sructure but also wrote the arrangement and vocal melody for this song, besides the vocal and guitar performances, which outrange anything Roger ever did technically.

Nevertheless,Roger did a wonderful job with the lyrics, some of the best in rock history, but that doesnt make it his song.

but keep folowing the majority, b a sheep

  • hahaha yes you have stated this point many times, if you are going to keep replying then at least come up with some new ideas lol.

haha im not following the majority, im an 18 yr old girl, none of my friends have even heard of pink floyd unless im talking bout them, i have formed my own opinions and not the opinions of anyone else, im far from a conformist or a "sheep".

  • no sorry, it's band's efford, sorry to disapoint you, douche

  • song is not only lyrics you fucking idiot

  • and its not stupid because imo roger, snowy white and doyle bramhall play the music just as good as david does but like i have said roger sings it better...

  • You obviously have no ear for music whatsoever.... Waters can barely keep his breath. His voice is dry and maticeless. I wouldnt be surprised if his voice was backtracked... like he admitted it to be in his last tour. And no way the guitar work for this version will even get close to Gilmours. Other versions in this concert perhaps, like Dogs or Time.... but never this one. No disrespect to Doyle and Snowy, theyve been great... but they messed up this one big time.

  • haha you dont know anything about me, and certainly not enough to make statements like that about my musical ear, of course his voice is dry and he cant keep his breath he was around 57 years old! when he performed this song lol.

i can understand if his voice was backtracked, it sounded to me like he backtracked it on "every strangers eyes" on this tour.

and again, there is no right or wrong over who is the better guitar player, its ur opinion...

  • There is perfectly objective criteria over performance and composition skills on guitar, it´s just that an ignorant twat like yourself wouldn´t ever know of it. Same for singing: to your foremost stupid perception, it´s all a selfish matter of "what i like better"... sorry to pop your bubble, but serious music criticism is not based in subjectivities such as your sorry ass taste.

And well, yeah you are making my whole point admitting Waters is a weak singer and a backtracker......

  • haha, your calling me the twat? haha ur the one who is swearing at a young girl i think that is a closer definition of a twat than someone who is merely expressing their opinion.

i am not a music critic so why would i care? i like what sounds good for my reasons not reasons which have to be accepted by the whole community.

and what i said was roger is 57 in this video, if you did know anything about singing and vocal chords you would know that your voice weakens over time.

  • in this band...the only ones are in the same level to play with Gilmour are: Waters, Snowy white & the bass player...

  • and doyle bramhall...

  • Don't even closer...

  • Aguante roger!! mucho mejor que gilmour

  • gilmour = better singer than Waters

  • I love this concert!

So much talent was brought together.

A really artistic collaboration show-casing Pink Floyd songs.

Katie Kisson has an amazing solo in "Mother".

Doyle rocks the guitar and vocals (and, looks damn hot in those crushed velvet chaps!)

  • I agree with you 100 and 20%..2bad this group didn't stay 2gether..the whole album is Great!!..........

  • excuseme for the little english....there's anyone that have the guitar tab of this version???expecially the solo....thnx

  • Doyle Bramhall 2nd is in my eyes the real guitarist here, snowy white is also a real one, but doyle brings everything to a higher level:)

  • i like the way he changes the second chorus when he sings the last two lines, emphanising the 'have we found' and the 'you' in wish you were here. a bit different than the original but sounds kinda better

  • I'm a Roger Waters fan but I must say that David Gilmour voice sounds more true to this song. Nontheless, still a very good version.

  • I second that jml........

Both are Legends but as far as this song goes Gilmour's version sounds much better although Water's version has a different feel to it ..

  • Doyle Bramhall, esse é o nome do cara da guitara solo, muito bom!!

  • I just love Doyle's guitarsolo on this track!!

Man i wish i could find that sound in my guitar!

  • Why does he say "how I wish THEY were here at the end?

  • cuz of the members who arnt in the badn when they performed this

  • maybe he is talking about gilmour, rick and nick.. (:

  • the best there is..who''is gilmour?? go roger. from the netherlands

  • Gilmour's the guy who actually wrote the music and playd the guitar on this paticular song. So, thanks Roger for the lyrics and thanks Dave for the music. Together their perfect.

  • and the guy who sings pink floyd songs properly ^^

  • excellent

  • Love this music!

    =)

  • People are not going to like this comment, but this is one of the worst versions of this song i have seen. True, Waters wrote wonderful lyrics for this song, but its David Gilmour´s original composition, arrangement and performance, and this just shows he can´t be replaced in this one. His voice and his guitar are being desperately missed. Compare this version to DG´s "In Concert" (2002) and tell me what you think.

  • Or in "Remember That Night" in 2006.. (or was it 2007?)

  • There are so many great versions of this song and so few bad ones, like the one with Roger Waters and Eric Clapton for some charity thing on live TV, that one was disastrous. See related videos --------->

  • I agree. David sings this better. Still, I would rather that they would just reunite and play this song together.

  • i dont think they should have the beginning on electric guitar. kinda ruins it...great song overall!

  • doyle at his best with roger, went to see roger waters, last week in landgraaf 'the netherlands'to bad he left the band, great guitar player!!

  • whats the name of the young guitarist?

  • It's Doyle Bramahll II, but he isn't that young. He'll be 40 in December. I met him last week after an Eric Clapton gig. Awesome dude - and OBVIOUSLY an awesoe guitarist!!!!
