If you want to see the ultimate in female beauty, see Ingrid in "The Bells of St. Mary's". Showing only her face, she radiates beauty and grace. One of the most beautiful women ever. The women of that generation put the women of today to shame.
i still can't put my finger on why i think she's so fabulous... there's no word that fits just right. maybe there is in whatever language the angles speak :)
I'm 53 yrs old, started watching re-runs of the Hollywood Glamour days back in the 1960's, and still to this day, I can re-watch any of them, and each time they hold my attention as though seeing it for the very first time. Modern movie-making is trash for the most part, a rare good one comes out. Thank God for the Hollywood Glamour days. I love them all. Those days, the stars had actual TALENT. They could all sing, dance AND act. I kiss the ground of the man who invented filmography!
I know, our classic actors were not perfect, but Im really not interested in the B-O-R-I-N-G lives of today's star.
I can literally count on my fingers today's faves, who I would actually pay money to see on the screen. There are just too many "dull spuds" for my taste.
I adore Ingrid and the old Hollywood. She's one of my favorite actresses. I can't stand films today. It is true, there are some exceptions, but this is as rare as the snow in Africa. I wish i lived in the 50s and met some of those legends! Why to be modest... I wish i lived then and had an opportunity to work with them.
I was just watching Hitchcock's Spellbound on TV and God! she was soooo beautiful.... Not just her obvious good looks but something about the way she moved and her presence that made for a Very, Very, rare beauty.
My Grandmother looked exactly like Ingrid when she was younger. Too bad those genes didn't go to me! LOL Seriously, what a classy woman. I don't know who is the most beautiful...Ingrid or Audrey. Tough call.
she's one of my favourite actresses. i just love her. Casablanca is my favourite movie so of course i have a very strong impression of her it but she starred in so many great movies like Gaslight, The inn of 6th happiness (which is my 2nd fav.) and so many more. She was truly a great actress and now she's a huge legend. Long live Ingrid Bergman.
What a SPECTACULAR ACTRESS! Ingrid was an actress WAY ahead of her time. She had the talent that practically no one possessed in the 40's, and she could act suspense movies with craft and brilliance.
I think there has never been a woman like her. Such a beautiful face! The most beautiful one I´ve ever seen. She was incredibly adorable and fantastic actress. I just LOVE HER...
Aw thank you so much for this! It has put a smile on my face that will remain all day! This video had many gorgeous photos I had not seen before! Ingrid Bergman is one of my favourite actresses and my true inspiration! She was and always will be one of the most beautiful, graceful people ever!
It is her birthday today (29 Aug) so, Happy Birthday Ingrid! All my love x x x
Ingrid Bergman was the first actress that I ever fell in love with. In the 1940's my Grandpa was in England and he saw her perform in 'Joan of Arc'! After the performance he went back stage, met her! and got her autograph on his program!
