Just decided to watch this again, after wild camping up Skiddaw recently, ...a few words come into mind ...YOU JAMMY GIT, so was you up there all day ? what about Mrs Bnd ? or was she out with her girlies on new years eve...
Stunning that Terry, i have watched this a few times now, and still amazed everythime
Nice vid, truely inspeyering. Used to have this bloke at work who wouldn't shut up about the lakes. Every day, 'Wainwright this, fucking haystacks that'. In the end, he had a spaz fit in the car park and brayed me Polio with his miserable cunt head. Off work ever since. Nice vid though, thanks for sharing.
This has got to be one of the best video cloud inversions ever. This clip is worthy of an award. I love watching it. So enchanting and atmosperic. I love the lake district; its truly amazing
The thing that impresses me most about the lake District is the way in which everything seems to be so perfectly proportioned-the hills and mountains all complement each other and fit in so perfectly with the surroundings
These contrasted with the wonderful lakes and tarns make this region one of incomparable beauty-there is nowhere else like it in the entire world. I'm so grateful to be able to live so close to this paradise.
Thank you - a beautiful film and so well made - love the music.
We had our first climb up Skiddaw in the snow in March 2009 and it was beautiful - but we weren't adventurous enough to catch the sunrise. I look foreward to looking at your website.
Superb stuff, believe it or not,I had a similar day on the summit of Great Orme, could see the Great Orme and Little Orme floating in the mist.Brilliant video, good music, but not so sure about the Pot Noodle ha ha! rather you than me with that one!
Wow, just wow....................has to be a life affirming moment that, there is something about being up in the mountains that non climbers and walkers simply dont understand, and i dont mean that in a patronising way, i would like to share my times up in the mountains with everyone, especially moments like this, sublime my friend, just sublime.................
Hi Terry, I'm in the process of watching your videos from the start of the series and this I feel is the best one yet. You captured some really special moments in this one. Great work!
"check it aaaaat. Absolutely stunnin". You ain't wrong there Terry. We were up top yesterday but it didn't look much like in your video because the cloud came in and ten seconds later it was a pea souper. Awesome to be so high though. I bet this video is inspiration to loads of people and rightly so.
Totally brilliant bit of film. Loved every minute of it. Obviously a guy who loves his countryside. Simply stunning and uplifting. Keep em coming lad!
Nice video, took some effort obviously. Nice editing to add the effects. Me and my girlfriend spent the entire night on Skiddaw only last night on one of the best Winter nights of 2010 so far. We reached the summit at dusk and stayed till 7am and found it one of the best places on earth.
Truely stunning video which totally encapsulates why I love the Lakes as much as I do. Best of luck with the website, I'll definately bookmark you when it's up and running.
Terry sorry i feel like ive been rude i wasnt questioning you just wondered why no trig point, can i ask which way you climbed ? lastest time i went was by latterig was crazy lol
i know terry can get busy in the lakes i did scaffel pike same again cloudy bad weather 1 guy at the top to great me then every man and his dog apeared well minus dog love the video though would love my boy to see that in real life lakes weather is crazy doesnt matter what the met says it can change so fast
@flashdj1974 Hi thanks for the complements. Skiddaw summit? I didn't actually film it on the day as there were too many folk about so I made my way elsewhere for a bit of piece and quiet
Terry amazing video tried to do skiddaw today with my boy second time out,
and i was thinking after reading the weather forecast for this weekend its looking good, i was looking for your inverted clouds ....nope we got a blizzard, your one lucky guy weather here is so unpredictable happy christmas + new year
Hey, I'm guessing you had to do some walking in the dark to reach the summit at sunrise. How long before sunrise did you leave to reach there at that time? and how is the walk fairly straight forward?
thats amazing, i normally stay on a farm near mungrisdale, its amazing but this has to be the best ive ever seen, theres a tea shop in keswick you can see skiddaw out the window :)
Fishing? You'll have to look into that one. Genreally no without permission. Some tarns and lakes etc have extremely rare species of fish such as arctic char.
Been all over the lakes, you picked a great day and the right time of day. Very early morings and very late evenings, the best times as the light is very dramatic then. I would have worn the shutter out on my camera if i was there. Thanks for the footage, must get back up there myself.
Been there a few times but never so early. the lakes are great...it makes you feel alive...I have done 55 Wainwright but still need to return, I love the place..nice film mate
Awesome video!!!! makes me want to set off to the lakes summits now, there is no better feeling than completing a walk especially with the views you had this day the memories stay with you forever.
Great video , the low cloud filled valleys make the trip well worth going up to the summit, I wish i had gone to the summit that day .I walked up there last year with my collie Jake and the views on a clear day are awesome . I love the Lake District so unique and so very special.
Fabtabulous vid, amazing cloud inversion! Looks like an archipelago and islands somewhere very remote. At 3.50ish looks like waves breaking on a rocky shore! Well done for making the effort, well worth it!
Absolutely stunning mate!! You could almost reach out and touch the candyfloss cloud. There's even a pot noodle advert in there - The slag of all snacks meets the slag of all views;)
would be a great advert for pot noodle. na just joking great vid defo worth geting up early for

@bholesurfer Thank you. And I agree - it seems fashionable over the past couple of years for folk to look inwards and see what the UK has to offer.
