argggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!! was doing research on this myth, so sat through the laboured depiction of the tale for some insight at the end of this vid that i had overlooked, and yes i had overlooked the take they had taken. It would be useful if i was goin to entitle my reseach " a nerd's eye view of ancient greece" just checked vid is15 minutes long, thats how much time i have invested in these effin geeky schoolboys. bet they got an A* too 4 this goin on current exam gradings for gcses & a levels
@geerlingguy i realised u wernt tryin to be informative and by the benile facts later on, but no i didnt realise it wasa parody as it wasnt funny, itwasnt til id sat thru thedepiction that irealised it was school children messin about, i dont care if u leave itas if or whatever u do, just wish it had had school project on it or t least u said parody in descriptio../,mnhgfghujkm oh i dont care
can we sample a few clips out of the video for a song im making? its called minotaur, we will be usig the lines at 7:46, 8:20, and 8:40, given that you let us use it
oh dude thanks for using simple words!!! i reaserched this creature and all i could find was really hard language that i could not make sense.......thanks dude
What a retarded depiction of Bill Moyers...a man who will leave a legacy to eclipse all of your families impact combined. I won't even get into the genius Joseph Cambell. You are lame.
wow now i know, i am reading this book called Death's Shadow by Darren Shan (it is a series this is the seventh) i highly recommend it . it talked about a minotaur living in a labrinth but i didn't know about how it got there or why.
Wow. This was really good. I love classic stories and you guys articulated what you know of it very well. The Lucas and P.B.S. references were very funny too. I hope you guys post more videos sometime soon, I'd definitely like to see them.
whoa this is exactly what we're doing in my class. we're looking at what heroes are and greek mythology (i.e. theseus, hercules, perseus, atalanta...). thanks for the video :)
I hope your students can build on this video; we were hoping to do at least one more in a 'series' (continuing the spoof on many of the PBS educational series), but didn't have time.
Mary Renault wrote two historical novels about Theseus. The Bull From The Sea and The King Must Die.Theseus also took up with an amazon woman, early on in the story. The time frame of the story of Theseus takes place well before the Trojan war so its very old.
Well done--I liked all the subtle mockery, and the attention to detail was obvious. Have you seen my version of this story? It's the first one in your related videos. If you like it, take a look at my other Greek myth videos.
We will actually be making a 'Tragedy' video sometim later this year, incorporating a little bit of mythology again. This time, we hope to make it a little shorter and more intense!
Thats great! I can't wait! Continue to incorporate your Masterpiece theater/world of mythology style and pompous narrator. I will be visiting the Seminary this Month at the Archbishop's retreat. I hope to meet you there!
good job guys

@bryngOneOn - I hope you realize this was more of a parody... meant for fun—should be apparent by about 10 seconds in, I would think ;-)
And, yes, we did get an A.
