  • The original one was called "I Won't Go". It was broadcast in 1961 and Al Lewis played "Al Spencer" the building contractor

  • WHATTA TRIP!! I just got through watching this same episode with different actors!

    Al Lewis (the guy who later plays Officer Leo Schnauser) the only difference was that the one I watched she was holding up the building of the new entrance to the George Washington Bridge!!

  • This was filmed at the old Biograph studios on E. 177 st . Molly Picon was an old time actress in Yiddish theatre . At the time this was filmed, she was staring on broadway in the orig. cast of the Musical " Milk and Honey".

    Co-op City was built several years later. Additionally, some of the land was the old Freedomland amusement park. I don't think any of it was old tenements.
