Personally, I like Seinfeld, it's good stuff, but best show ever? No sitcom is the best show ever. They're a pretty limited formula, in my opinion, even if some are quite good.

i completely agree (in fact, in just talking about the sitcoms, i think that Curb Your Enthusiasm as already surpassed Seinfeld). however, the fact remains that TV Guide has a diverse crew of editors, as you said, with differing opinions on TV shows (i would assume), so for the crew as a whole to name it the "best show ever", it shows that obviously Seinfeld is, in fact, funny.

ho ho, so funny.  if you read the post that i was responding to, it said that "seinfeld is not funny". i was merely pointing out, with a little exaggeration if you couldn't pick up on that, that obviously Seinfeld should be considered funny, even though some mouth-breathing moron doesn't understand most of the jokes in the show.

i do agree about the brainpower thing. but that seems unlikely :)
