Wow, I remember that Magic 104 commercial as if I last saw it yesterday! I recalled every the songs in succession before they played....I was 5 years old when I last saw it. Talk about the power of music.

Super 66 wasn't a profitable station in Chicago. What happened?

Man, what didn't happen. When 66 began to run a general ent. schedule, all proposed sitcoms/cartoons/movies Grant wanted were picked clean by the other stations and the ones that did make it to 66 were vastly overpaid by Grant Broadcasting hurting 66's revenues and eventually leading to Chapter 11 bankruptcy, severely low ratings and a danger of shutting down until Univision bought out WGBO in 1995. WOW - it's been over 10 years now...Super 66: GONE BUT WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN!

WOW lots of things that have passed us by...WJMK as an oldies station, Perry Drug Stores, Sound Warehouse, Popeyes chicken that actually was edible, The Nissan King, Celozzi Ettleson and US 99 actually begging people to listen
