  • the best i've ever heard, it makes me the best chill out time, when i was down or when i was high, i can not really choose which better, but this cause me very special euphoria

    thank you :)

  • Aphex Twin + µ-ziq = Perfect

  • perfection!

  • I want this track on Spotify but can't find it :(

  • @HunterTomorrowX Same with any music. Some rap is pretty awesome. I like Mauver by Bola, its a decent example of rap mixed with downtempo.

  • This was the tune that persuaded me to listen to non-guitar based music back in '93. It's simply awesome.

Mike Paradinas - you did yourself proud with this mix, and at such a young age!

Just wish someone could upload the full length version.

If you're like me and love driving to this tune, how great does 2:47 onwards sound when the bass kicks in through the speakers?!?!

  • @davisbloke yes sir. aphex "on" and muziq vs auteurs cd changed everything for me in the early 90's. It made me contemplate music structure and life in general.

  • @davisbloke watch?v=YXhutaCgHb4 full length

  • Been listening to this track since 02' beautiful techno song. use it as my alarm clock not too loud not too quiet it's perfect sound

  • can you feel the love..?

  • thumbs upp for the original song and that unique remix!

  • wow, I listened to this for so long without knowing it was a µ-siq remix.

  • Aphex Twin and Eric do two very different style of music so it cant be compered.

if you love music youll understand that both are very good in what they do

  • @GodricThe ...Eric???

  • @JackTron7000 clapton. someone commented but now seems to me that comment is deleted

  • @GodricThe Oh haha okay then.

  • This tune is breakin my balls :-P

  • Great remix.

  • @twohundredandthree yessss ... exactly what I was hoping for. Awesome dude.

  • @DrWordsmith

No worries, hope you liked them!

  • The ambiance of this track is just amazing. Can someone please give me some suggestions for other tracks that have this same feel? I would really appreciate it.

  • @DrWordsmith aphex twin - flim

  • @DrWordsmith nothing else I've come across has had that RDJ feel, but you might try other 90s greats like Orbital, Banco de Gaia, µ-ziq, Luke Vibert or Future Sound of London if you like this.

  • @Hazeon23 all of those that you named are brilliant!!

  • Comment removed

  • @DrWordsmith

As others have said before, there's nothing that really sounds a lot like RDJ...but there are others that make good music like this. Check out Carbon Based Lifeforms, Aes Dana, Asura, and Cafe Del Mar.

  • Got this when it came out in '93 when I was in my first year at art college. It is fair to say stuff like this, Surfing on Sine Waves, Autechre and Boards of Canada changed my life.

This particular track and remix however will not get old. An absolute Classic.

  • Do not respond to Intelectual95 he is a spammer

  • the best Aphex remix i've ever heard, closely followed by alarm will sound

  • @HunterTomorrowX No, my sister listens to those artists. I've never been interested in rap itself. Dunno why. :/

  • @Intelectual95 LMAO, Thank you... I haven't laughed that hard since, well I don't know when... you know those IQ test sites are just information farms right? No true tests involved.. If you had an IQ above say 79, you would know music is anything with a rhythm and is up to the listen to decide if its good or not. Don't be hatin just cause your musicz told'ya too. ;)

  • this is reall nerd bleepy bloop shit...

u want real music listen avenged sevenfold - real musicians who know how to play there instruments with out a computer doin it for them.

dont bother trying to prove me wrong, i have IQ 170 i took a test so im smarter than you and i am right anwyay sooo....

  • @Intelectual95 A7X is a very good band... for their genre. Aphex Twin is is a very good group... for their genre. I personally don't dislike music for their genre (although it just so happens that rap and RB is all predictable and all sounds the same.) I love electronica and techno but I'm also an A7X fan. :) I congratulate them for making REAL ORIGINAL music using traditional methods. I congratulate Various electronic artists for making REAL ORIGINAL music using unique methods! Music is music!!

  • @Intelectual95

Avenged is badass... and they put on one of the best live shows I've seen, but please...

"without a computer doing it for them?" wake the fuck up, its music either way... you have obviously never tried producing. In the future... don't say dumb things and then tell us you're smart. They kinda contradict each other..

  • @Intelectual95 My favorite is when he tries to call out this "reall nerd bleepy bloop shit" AND then proceeds to tell us he has an 170 IQ...Who's da dog NOW, man?

  • WTF! It stopped. Moron. Guys like you that don't belong on youtube. If you are going to post a video then make sure it is 110% full / complete!

  • @Crowmangegus A suppository doesn't go in your mouth silly willy, it goes up your pooper.

  • @obliviongreen You wish.

  • @ instinctualjealousy . YES YOU CAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • 93 damn. I can't imagine that. I would be hooked on this stuff. I only am just getting into electronic music and this feels so fresh and better then most new stuff.

It's pretty cool though to find this stuff now as I'm 30 and think all the best music was in the early to mid 90s. So this makes sense and is quite a refreshingly new yet nostalgic feeling.

  • @slappntickle i love you man

  • 3 people have **** in their ears

  • Haha I love this remix, but *shamelessly* I must advertise that I make music too (it's on my channel) and it's terribly hard to get people to notice the good ol' starving artist haha. Only problem is, I'm not starving. :) But I can't make anything close to being this awesome anyway.

  • whats up with that warping at the beginning of the track? my copy has the same issue, but i've heard this tune without it...

  • @alexamada I like it better

  • @alexamada

It was mastered from cassette tape, it's exactly the same on the CD.

  • PLANET MU FTW

  • that is amazing.

  • I love you, thanks for the upload. XD

  • Is this the full song? I ask this because it seems to end abruptly as if it were cut off/incomplete. I especially like the 'new direction' the song goes into around 5:40.

    All in all its awesome.

  • Amazing.

  • sounds like when i was in a TIMEWARP

  • one of my favorites................

  • this is a classic :-)

  • everything went shit after 2000

  • @Obiwan198

Don't close your ears like that mate. (:

  • Haha, I haven't listened to the On remixes in like ten years; I forgot that they were actually kind of good. In some ways I prefer the u-ziq and Reload mixes to their source material even though they're arguably cheesy, if for no other reason than they go more places, and I'm not crazy about Rich's percussion in that period.

  • This version makes me feel like there is a big future ahead of us; like everything will be made of machine, and the world will just be one big city.

  • I love Mike, but this is a hack job.

  • theres another remix on the otherside that kills this its in my attic must dig it out,

  • who's better aphex twin or orbital?

  • @christttophercole373 aphex easily

  • Aphex Twin, not Clapton, is God. Peace.

  • wow never heard a mike P version of this *smiles*

  • Ah shit this makes sense now! I had this on my ipod as an aphex track, but thought it was too uncharacteristic of him and wondered where it fit into his discog.. but is a remix! by the ziq! .. all makes sense now.

  • no he does have a genre americans call it IDM and some people from the UK call it braindance,i call it braindance anyway lol awesome remix but no one can beat the man himself =]

  • woha, it's very very mystic...I'm falling...

  • I prefer the 28 mix, although this is good too.

  • don't gamble with the king of electronic music !

  • apex twin + µziq = godlike

  • Undoubtedly the best mix of On

  • This is the best version of "On". Great

  • Yeah, I did! :D

  • I like this remix. Different to the original "On".

  • µ-ziq is one of the best.... Lunatic Harness and In Pine Effect are fine examples of this

  • royal astronomy definitely holds its ground!

  • agreed

  • ähm, this is good too.

    but the Idea count...... IDIOTS.

and look to aphex twin....what he did.

he is the form, the source the original :-)

the others just form his music, BUT without Aphex twin....there can't be a remix like this or something else.

    of course, this is brilliant..

  • u-ziq actually surpassed aphex on this one

  • uhm, no

  • Yeah, I prefer this version than the original one.

  • nope

  • @grandmaos well,Mike Paradinas was always on the same shelf as Richard D. James,a different kind of engaging ambient-proto-industrial sound.Proud owner of all the vinyls

  • @grandmaos it helps when u dont have to create the melody

  • this is absolutely incredible

  • So sweet, still after all these years.

What other timeless techno music is there?

  • this isnt techno

  • Fantastic !!

  • i saw him last week in cracov sacrum profanum this is god!

  • Aphex Twin, not Eric Clapton, is God. Peace.

  • How great is this....

Thanks so much for sharing - Aphex Twin is and will be milestoning the scene :)

  • nice

  • i got the logo tattooed on my arm. :D

  • That's pretty fucking awesome.

  • If you all want to wank AFX just go and ask him.

  • argh why does it stop so suddenly?:O I should have been going on forever

  • i wish i heard this in 1993

  • why are the last two minutes cut off?

  • drill n bass. thats the genre for aphex

  • my friend, there is no genre for richard. he IS the genre.

  • @ochjoenge yes there is... it's called experimental.....

  • @ochjoenge put in his own words, there are a lot of sheeps, and very few shepards.

  • @ochjoenge Well, he personally coined it "Braindance," which is both awesome and a bit weird at the same time. But that sums up Richard pretty well, yeah?

  • where can i downloads this? or is it on any cd that anyone knows of?

  • "Dream Injection 3" Cd 2

  • I can't find this anywhere...do you have an mp3?

  • Comment removed

  • I used to describe Aphex Twin aka Richard D James music as abstract...but it is a sweet abstract!lol Had the pleasure to be in one of his performances here in Lisbon and it was awesome!

  • First heard this track (along w/ original and reload versions) in 1993. Forever changed how I thought of electronic music. Think about the music that was out in 1993 and imagine how refreshing this was.

  • most brilliant comment on electronic music Ive ever heard...spot on

  • holy shit even before i saw your comment I thought the same thing...spot on bro

  • that's something to think about eh

  • @mudboy1973

brian eno and other ambient pioneers had been making similar stuff way before the 90s. not saying aphex twin didn't innovate, but i think his more ground-breaking stuff came out between 95 and 00.

  • @mudboy1973 Definitely. When I heard this and the stuff Warp was doing in 92/93, it was some of the best music I'd ever heard. Still is. Those times represented milestones in music.

  • @mudboy1973 - still is.

  • @mudboy1973

    yap acid era lovely

  • I heard that track 5, maybe 6 years ago... Brilliant!

  • is the available to download somewhere?

  • the song is incomplete :(

  • a perfect remix of a perfect track, listening to this brings back great memories :)

  • vageness95 - check out the following artists: Venetian Snares, Electric Kettle, Satanicpornocultshop, Autechre... I think you'll find something that you'll like. As for single songs similar in "taste" I'd recommend: -Aphex Twin - IZ-US -Satanicpornocultshop - Suicide empire -Venetian Snares - Hiszekeny -Venetian Snares - Peeying_yelloq -µ-ziq - Hasty boom alert -µ-ziq - Within a sound -µ-ziq - Swan vesta And a little personal fav of mine: -Atomly - Medianoche Cheers! ^^
  • Don't forget Flashbulb, KJ Sawka (a little generic stuff but still cool), and Squarepusher

  • @NoqturnePL awww but of curse no-one ever enlists a classic track from Autechre.....like 444, Nil, 777, the trees, Autumn acid, Bass cadet, etc....my fave is still Piezo (my first time on shrooms was a blast that ill never forget)

  • The original is called buddha bar... is it??

  • well, the original is "On" by Aphex Twin :)

  • It's called "On"!!!

  • Man i love this track.

    So peaceful.

  • To all the TOOLS claiming to be ARTISTS having these works removed... You've copped out, you've sold out.

This is not theft, it's FREE ADVERTISING you giant whining babies.

  • definatly better then on in my opinion, this song can do without the techno part. its better peaceful and ambient.

  • I think the reload mix is better but then again i'm more of an ambient head.

  • I like it better than the original, it has a distinct peacefulness to it.

  • this is maximim electronica, not an "On" remix...

  • Maximum Electronica is a remix of On...

  • Its on the "On Remixes" EP. I know, I have it.

  • sorry, you guys are absolutely right. that was my mistake.

  • Wow... !

  • In all honesty I prefer this version to the original...

I found the ON EP and ON(Remixes)EP in a record shop in Berlin :D

  • Well Paradinas is is up there, to those in the know.

  • Too right!!!

  • and i absolutely love how the drums go tame at 5:36...gorgeous.

  • By far one of the most beautiful remixes of an Aphex Twin song ever. :)

  • Man, and I thought the original was a masterpeice, this absolutely took it to the highest level. can't believe this was 15 years ago! my god where does the time go. It goes to show how little progress has been made since the 90s. This track sounds like it was made today.

  • I agree — either Aphex Twin was a revolutionary, or everyone else just kinda sucks now. I'm inclined to think it's both :)

  • Well said.

  • it all depends on how much listening you've practiced. i think this track sounds like the early 90's. and stuff made today can also sound like that.

there is a huge amount of stuff that is 20 years ahead going on right now but most people haven't practiced listenting enough to hear the subtle details.

  • that is very true

  • Would you mind recommending some of the ahead-of-its-time music you mention? Just curious..

  • oh no! you called me out!

wait, i think i can back my claim up...

check out - ed banger records, planet-mu, rephlex, for stuff that, although "retrospective" in some ways, very "futuristic" in others, is big in europe but still catching on (maybe it wont) in america.

looking back to my original meaning was that i imagine or assume that there is much music made that sits on a shelf for years before it's released, then when it is, it's "fresh" which points out it's "timelessness".

  • Thank you!

  • Oh yeah I almost forgot. itr is also the length of 8:20! I am not bashing in this video but it can't be M,E, Can it? it has been so long since i have heard this.

  • I only know the remix on Maxium Electrica was done by u-zig.

This version is is from On Remixes not Maximum Electronica.

It's possible they are not identical.

  • Actually they are the same track. I just researched and recently discovered that they are almost exactly the same. If I had a way to email you the track I would Show you what I mean. Thanks for posting this one. It sounds so mouch better than my Download!!

  • @DaimosRakial nope its actually 8:44

  • So that was what you were talking about. But this still is not... Uhh well... uummm hmm! maby it is not... what the song ended! this can't be the remix of ON. Becuase that track is called Maximum Electronica. Not to mention it is played at a higher speed, Plus it was missing the wave fluctuations that give you the waves in your head, as a result of your fluctuating Kinetic Energy!!!!!

  • Scratch that sh*t my bad I just tested out the differences and they checked out. they are both playing at the same bit Rate.

  • 5*s

  • Indeed ;-)

This remix gives a new dimension.....

  • Awesome remix!!

Check out my Aphex cover. :)
