Yes, I noticed you were an airshow buff. I too was for years. Sadly for me I don't get to as many as I would like. Thats why I turned to trains. Having come through the 2nd WW, (and now being old) I do miss all the airshows. I enjoyed your one of Duxford. I shall look forward to seeing anything you produce,.......................Thanks and regards ..........Tom
@twa1638 Air shows are so expensive now, and bad experiences in the crowd with everyone so desperate to get their shot really put me off Flying Legends this year. I'll only go again if theres something particular I want to see - such as the Blenheim (when its finished). I'll stick to the smaller shows in future. Thanks very much once again. Regards, H.
Really good video. Clear and good focus. The low level shots were excellent. and for me seeing the 9F 92203 running light engine was good. I spent my childhood and teenage years in a small mining town on the main line to Consett steel works and loved the 9F's pulling Ore trains ........Thanks for this..............T
@twa1638 Thanks for the kind comments, and thanks also for watching. Alas, I was born in the wrong decade to have seen steam in service. I do very much enjoy 9Fs though - I just wish preserved locos could be 'dirtied up' a bit to show what they were like in service. Its the same with WWII era air shows I attend, the aircraft are stunning, but dont appear anything like they were in service. Thanks again. Regards, H.
@SuperWHIZZO Thanks! By chance rather than judgement, I managed to find a few spots that I was pleased with - Im not familiar with the geography of this line, and I was just ambling around looking for places on the day. Thanks again.
I was there on the Sunday. Great event! - My first gala at the NNR - The best location I think is just outside Weybourne where the trains run past the Windmill.
L99 looked good on the wood. Also liked 43106 on that train with the Mark 1 van on the back. Like a proper semi-fast in 1956! The Ivatt 4 Black 5 combo looked superb. It could well have happened on the S&D.
the sight of any pannier tank or saddle tank always makes me smile :)
