I'm familiar with the quote. Jehovah's Witnesses use it to argue that there is no Hell & that when we die our fate is either to lie in the ground until we rot away or until we're resurrected - in a different body! - on a Paradise earth. It's very lucky the dead 'are conscious of nothing' because they'd be confused by how the Witnesses have changed their doctrine over the years (sometimes for legal reasons, sometimes to hide that predictions didn't work out).

Some to Catholic forms of both, Born Again, Anglican and so it continues....or will it just suddenly go BOOM! one day?

I cannot understand why God allowed Adam and Eve to sin. If Adam and Eve had no knowledge of right and wrong before the Fall I can't see how a loving God could punish them (and their descendants) for disobedience when Adam and Eve had no true understanding of right and wrong.
