Thank you for this! I wasn't looking to mod the components but I was looking for a way to take this type of saber apart.

any mods to made these brighter? Maybe white Luxeon and color discs? Maybe different blade or diffuser? thanks :)

Color discs dim the blade a lot, my friends has color discs... I think if you want a bright white LED with color disks, go with a LED Engin or a Seoul P4. Lux 3 Whites aren't that bright =]

I sold my Joe Jedi on ebay.. Now I'm make a "sink tube" with a red P4.. I don't need RGB or colored discs.. I want max brightness. If I want a different color I'll just make another saber :)

red Lux III is brighter than red P4.

Joe Jedi wasn't bright enough for me.. I might even try a sort of homebrew Hyberblade style blade with strings of LEDs. I don't care about dueling. I just want it BRIGHT :)

I'm certain you should post this at the TCSS forums (if you haven't already) so those who want to disassemble these guys will be able to do so ALOT easier with your awesome help...
