@kcarrera1 and petoria0013, you are both right. There are way more Supras with ALOT higher hp than evo. The problem is the streetability. The evo is better in the aspect that it can be used for anything and it'll be harder to rap an evo around a tree or pole then it would be for the Supra. But this all comes down to one thing. Matter of opinion just as kcarrera said. Each car will be better in it's own environment. Both cars are absolutely amazing. I am an Evo enthusiast but the Supra is hot.

While RWD they have front weight and rear wheel acceleration so all the traction is only transferred into the back. There is much more force when you pull than when you push.

Its not just the Supra that holds its value. @spsickfastsupra You could just of said its not the amount of boost but the flow rate and compressor efficiency at different boost levels. Say the 14b you can run it at 20 pounds but after about 18 you stop really gaining much.

Supra from a Roll on the highway... woo... you need some BIG power to over come that. Heavy, but slippery in the air and after 130 it becomes a BIG deal.
I doubt it too, but I know one of them was brake boosting(if not both), and while doing that at a 50 roll could easily take you over 100mph very quickly, but not to 160 that fast lol

I can't even tell what is going on. I can tell you this much though. 30 psi on a Supra is a lot of boost, 30 psi on an Evo isn't a whole lot. The Evo runs pretty high boost right from the factory.
My friends Evo IX runs 24 psi right off the Mitsubishi lot and as he goes up in gears it gets less and less, but my Supra MK IV was running on stock boost and the twins was only hitting 7 psi or so. See what I am saying?
Dude a Supra NEVER runs higher than a bar from the factory. Boost cut is set at 1 bar. Even with a boost controller you can't run higher than 14psi without a GReddy BBC. I run one bar now T61 single with a boost controller. Research it there was nothing wrong with my Supra.
the evo runs that high boost from stock for 1 reason... so it can make the power it does, set it to supra stock levels and it would be worthless. The supra makes more power with less boost, which = less stress on the engine, more reliable and doesnt have to be serviced every 1000 miles.
@Bajamug Wow are people fucking retarded, it all depends on how the motors take to after market mods, how the heads flow and how well the bottom end is built. I will personally take an Evo all day over a Supra because 1, the Evo is a better street driver, 2. it will out launch any supra, and 3. it is cheaper and takes more kindly to mods and can use the extra hp without to much traction issues.
@RichRusso4218 You are correct about a few points about the evo vs supra. But the supra will take better to mods than an evo would anyday. How would the evo take better to mods than a supra? Just doesn't make sense. The supra's block can withhold 800whp stock, and the v160 6 speed getrag transmission can take 600whp without being breaking... The evo, being awd will have tons more drive train issues, and the block will have to be built to handle power like that.
@DLN78 Still, my stock block evo had 500 to the wheels. e85, fpred, cams and bolt ons. Ran like a champ for 85k till i sold it.. I don't deny how amazing the supra is, besides being a lot more money than what it cost me to build the evo.

@fullmetal2004 the stock fuel is fine until you get over 400. Upgrade your fuel rails first, do exhaust intake, your valves and heads thats where all the power is. Once your done with all of that you will be way over it. stock engine with a big turbo is the dumbest thing ive heard. Once you get a enigne that pushes enough air is when you get a big turbo. But a stock engine t67 is as big as you want to go.

I can't even tell what is going on. I can tell you this much though. 30 psi on a Supra is a lot of boost, 30 psi on an Evo isn't a whole lot. The Evo runs pretty high boost right from the factory.

My friends Evo IX runs 24 psi right off the Mitsubishi lot and as he goes up in gears it gets less and less, but my Supra MK IV was running on stock boost and the twins was only hitting 7 psi or so. See what I am saying?

Dude a Supra NEVER runs higher than a bar from the factory. Boost cut is set at 1 bar. Even with a boost controller you can't run higher than 14psi without a GReddy BBC. I run one bar now T61 single with a boost controller. Research it there was nothing wrong with my Supra.

the evo runs that high boost from stock for 1 reason... so it can make the power it does, set it to supra stock levels and it would be worthless. The supra makes more power with less boost, which = less stress on the engine, more reliable and doesnt have to be serviced every 1000 miles.

My answer is simply...no. There's a reason you see so many Supras pushing 850+WHP, 600+Evos are a rarity.

@Bajamug Wow are people fucking retarded, it all depends on how the motors take to after market mods, how the heads flow and how well the bottom end is built. I will personally take an Evo all day over a Supra because 1, the Evo is a better street driver, 2. it will out launch any supra, and 3. it is cheaper and takes more kindly to mods and can use the extra hp without to much traction issues.

@RichRusso4218 You are correct about a few points about the evo vs supra. But the supra will take better to mods than an evo would anyday. How would the evo take better to mods than a supra? Just doesn't make sense. The supra's block can withhold 800whp stock, and the v160 6 speed getrag transmission can take 600whp without being breaking... The evo, being awd will have tons more drive train issues, and the block will have to be built to handle power like that.

@DLN78 Still, my stock block evo had 500 to the wheels. e85, fpred, cams and bolt ons. Ran like a champ for 85k till i sold it.. I don't deny how amazing the supra is, besides being a lot more money than what it cost me to build the evo.

The GT4276 is capable, with the right supporting mods, of making over 900 rwhp. Excuses for why a certain car loses to another car can be reffered to my previous statement above ^^. Excuses are like tampons... every pussy's got one.

lol why do people compare bikes to cars!?!?!?! have you guys heard of such a thing called... power::weight ratio?? of course a bike is quick but it also weights a few times less than a car!!! and for the ones that ride bikes.... you know after 160mph the ride doesnt feel any pleasant... there is more control of a car at those speeds. anyways both cars in the vid are pretty nice and fast so thumbs up to them. i dont think that much of the people posting can stand next to either car in a race

UGH ok kids a supra 2jzgte engine is very powerful 1st you can have a stock 2zg block with 150k miles on it (give or take a few) just upgrade your turbo and fuel management and push well over 400rwhp so this bullshit about adding 100k is total BULLSHIT more like 20k to get close to 800hp 30k to 40k to push over 1000hp depending on where you get your car tuned so please if you dont know about the car or what it takes to build it just SHUT THE FUCK UP PLEASE!!!

@fullmetal2004 the stock fuel is fine until you get over 400. Upgrade your fuel rails first, do exhaust intake, your valves and heads thats where all the power is. Once your done with all of that you will be way over it. stock engine with a big turbo is the dumbest thing ive heard. Once you get a enigne that pushes enough air is when you get a big turbo. But a stock engine t67 is as big as you want to go.

Talented you are an idiot. Celica came first. Henceforth the Celice Supra in the mid 80s. Toyota came out with the supra in 79 and split it to just the supra in 86. I think that you should read up on cars a bit more before you talk. Toyota hasnt even confirmed that they are remaking the Supra. Ive read that they are coming out with a RWD car with a Boxer engine in 2011. But who knows. Although im sure that Toyota wont let Nissan top them with the new R35.
