  • he's my cousin

  • Nice, but I sure wish my job let me fail a few hundred times before I succeeded. Just sayin.

  • Climbing is about finding beautiful things in nature.....and then smearing tons of chalk on them :P

  • Crazy ass white boy!!!

  • Awesome! Where were you at 0:16

  • o loco spider man

  • Try free soloing puss.

  • what an awesome climber.

  • "Dame cuerda, mas! mas!" jajajaja

  • Hey Everyone! Come watch some climbing porn I put together! Video features a raw V10 dyno

  • id fight him

  • should be more like "its about finding beautiful things in nature and...climbing them"

  • swifty anyone?

  • ZERRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPPP!

  • What's the climb at 0:19?

  • He grabbed the anchor! Fail! ;-)

  • love that sharma takes the biggest whippers... and the end of the video you can see he loves it.. this guy kicks as#

  • que boulder es el del segundo 25?

  • @ixkrakenxi Mandala v12

  • this guys spiderman

  • @vickizspace I think you shouldn't compare these climbers that way. Climbing toprope is different to lead climbing is different to free soloing. The less security the rope gives to you, the less you will climb at your limit. Reasonably.

  • hes my cousin and he dozent know me you also have cousins that dont know you and inclouding your family

  • @vickizspace chris is known for the hardest and most difficult routes in the world, its the athletic aspect of climbing, he pushes himself to the physical limit and he knows that he will fall and will need many many tries. dean and alex are known for their mental strenght to climb without ropes, they push themselves psychical to the limit; you cant compare this two different ways of climbing. they are both a complete own way.

  • @vickizspace I'm also confused by your post. What exactly are you refuting on my post?

  • bravo master!

  • There's a guy in India who i think could have alot of potential if he was trained to be the most radical new age climber...Jyoti Raju . Look up his videos of him , they call him the Monkey man.

  • @Kenya3131 We have seen his videos! Pretty rad. It would be very interesting to see him on some traditional routes for sure!

  • @Kenya3131 But his dead :(

  • @Kenya3131

dude i personally as a climber think that this guy might look cool while climbing but he wouldnt be able to do none of those moves on harder holds...i mean...i can do what he does on the videos, when you have jugs its easy...

  • @Dalamon1 sounds like you might be the greatest rock climber in the world then

  • ahh i love doin the thing he did in the end :D. well it's not as great as when he does it though T_T

  • how fit!!! (thumbs up if u agree ;))

  • Some climber!!!! I don't want to ever take falls like he does!!! Man can he take it thought!! Fair play man!

  • I am more in awe when watching ninja warrior. Not trying to take away from his accomplishments......but I dont understand why I was directed by my friend to watch this.......Thanks Jason.

  • @IfBrettWasWhite85 Rock climbing is one of those things that you have to experience in order to appreciate how hard the climbs are unlike ninja warrior which has alot of flare and you can appreciate the difficulty by just watching.

  • 0:08 holy shit!!!

  • @Blitzell22 okay, sry 0:07

  • song plzz

  • @CharmingZombie 'The Gypsy Suite' by EMU

  • @PranaCollective thynz myn

  • Hes the man. Pause it at 2:57, whats the big black thing? a crash pad? tent?

  • @matchstick121 He camped out at that spot for days trying to get that climb. There were quite a few people there so probably a tent. A crash pad would do shit at that height lol.

  • Anyone know what the boulder at 0.25 is called?

  • @sqlvfisken That is Evilution on the Grandpa Peabody boulder in Bishop, CA I think.

  • @MrDhulet for sure man i think thats the eviloution boulder J-Kehl FA'D

  • Recognize. Slippy metamorphic rock. THE MAN.

  • In french it's called a lolotte when you put your leg like this

  • @WarrenK2

His left leg is in a drop knee position/ turned inwards. There's many names for it but that's the first time I've heard that one. I think somebody else may be able to answer your question a bit better :)

  • Sharma makes me feel like my life is wasting away. Never been so envious of someone else. The guy is unreal

  • What's the technique at 1:18 called? I think Chris called it what sounded like Komodo in Progression.

  • Truly amazing. He is the entire reason I started climbing and continue climbing.

    Just awesome.

I'd like to punch the 8 people who disliked this vid. What the hell is wrong with you people?? What is there to dislike?? Ah, yes, jealousy. Get over yourselves.

    Chris Sharma is incredible.

    That is all. :)

  • @hellovolk the song is called The Gypsy Suite...at the end of the video go to the myspace site that it displays..youll find it there

  • Sharma is the MAN! its all about the details brother..lol.. depending on who you are.. just climb your hardest, and meet as many climbers as possible

  • you just put the whole climbing philosophy into one sentence, dude, respect!

just climb your hardest, and meet as many climbers as possible

    are you climbing, too?

  • It's whats its all about.. lol.. climbing is my addiction

  • one more climbing addicted guy... nice to meet someone with the same addiction.

climbing is not a sport, climbing is a way of live. i share ivo´s opinion and would appreciate your friendship if youre into it.

  • i really hate it how climbing nerds have to argue about really pathetic little details

stop argueing and get out there and start climbing!!!!!

  • big fan!! come to malaysia!!!!

  • Der Chris wird jeden Tag ein bisschen geiler.

  • what is that balck thing on the ground on 2:55

  • new evolv !!!

    ;)

  • just speechless

  • incredible... nice climb dude -:)

  • yeah, nice and the hardest in the world right now :-{]

  • mass mass! venga!

  • :-)

  • chris is my climbing-hero, definetly! he was the one, who really pushed forward the borders of modern free climbing!

    greetz Daniel

  • He'z still pushing dood

  • yeah, sry for the wrong tense i used, you´re right dude! he´s still pushing it!

    --Dan

  • I disagree. Chris has quite some feats he has accomplished, but I wouldn't say he was the one and only one that has pushed the borders of free climbing. Wolfgang Gullich pushed it by FA'ing Action Direct, the worlds first 5.14D. Lynn Hill was first person to free climb the Nose on El Cap.

  • i know what lynn and wolfgang accomplished during their climbing carreer and i have never said that chris is the [quotation] "one and only one who has pushed the borders of free climbing." so before you disagree to someones comment for the next time you gotta read and understand it beforehand, ok? you gotta LOOK BEFORE you GO [Band of Skulls - Monsters]. nevertheless i think it´s great that you know so much about the sport of climbing... are you a rock climber yourself? would be cool being your

  • friend, then. so cu and please read what i wrote this time BEFORE you decide to disagree, dude!

    greetz from Bavaria

  • To quote, you said he was "the one" that pushed the borders of free climbing.

That would be like if I were to say "Alex Honnold was the one who pushed the borders of free soloing"

Now, if I were to say that he "pushed the borders of free soloing", that'd be different. If you were to say Chris "pushed the borders of free climbing", that'd be different.

To say he is/was "the one" would be wrong.

  • yeah, but chris was the one who opened 9b, wolfgang was THE ONE who first climbed 9a,

alexander was the first one who climbed 9a+ if adam is right. and alex is the one who is quite young for his free solo ascents, quite groundbreaking i think. i still don´t understand what you are trying to say dude? are you the one who always wants to be right? i´m not the one who is always right, certainly but in this conversation my chances are ain´t that bad i suppose. so, i am saying once more.... =]
