Why try and reach the lost......? They are better off not hearing the Gospel since their guaranteed heaven already. Why did paul preach the "Good News" to those who hadnt heard it, if they were going to heaven already? I do love Dr. Martin and think he is an excellent teacher, but this belief and teaching is false.
With all respect to the late Dr. Martin, I would go a step further and say that the fact that all the billions who died without hearing the name of Christ is confirmation that those same people sadly never truly sought salvation. (Romans 10:14,15)
Only Christianity confirms what is revealed with the conscious, that man cannot satisfy God through works.
All have sinned and greatly offended the holy God of the bible. The just punishment is death then hell. That's not Gods will. He suffered and died on the cross paying for the law you broke in His life's blood so He could legally dismiss your case. You must repent turn from sin and trust alone in Jesus Christ for your salvation.
So we have the light of creation, and we have the light of conscience, and God has given that much light to every single person who has ever lived on this earth.
Not true. You are forgetting about huge categories of people who have lived and never even saw the stars or creation. Many people have been born blind. Many people are mentally retarded. And what about babies who die in their infancy? What about little boys and little girls. Are all these burning in your fabled eternal Hell of fire,
That light Dr Martin speaks of is the innate 'divinity', so to speak, within all things.
He admits that the creator has countless ways to reach the creation.
This 'doctrine' of 'Jesus is the only way' is an elementary understanding of what the Christ taught and imparted to the earth.
Furthermore, Christlike figures come in various manifestations. Its simply the WORD made manifest. We can find the WORD in Buddha, Krishna, etc. This doesnt discount Jesus's unique role in the universe
Those who never cease to argue against clear Biblical teachings on hell are the ones who know they are going there and are trying every way possible to get out of it. If they were truly submitted to Christ the obvious, plain, easy to understand teachings would make sense to them. Those who continually resist the light are still in darkness.
John 6:54—"He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day." John 10:28—"and I give eternal life to them, and they will never perish; and no one will snatch them out of My hand."Rom 6:23—"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." over and over the bible clearly say that eternal life is only for the saved!
@jesusLostChildren777 Gal 6:8—"For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life."1 John 5:11—"And the testimony is this, that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son."
Eternal life is only in God's son. The unrighteous do not have the gift of eternal life. so if people tell you that if you die right now unsaved you life forever in hell.then you now its not right
@jesusLostChildren777 Matt 19:16—"And someone came to Him and said, 'Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may obtain eternal life?'"Matt 19:29-30—"And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or children or farms for My name's sake, will receive many times as much, and will inherit eternal life."
@jesusLostChildren777 Matt 25:46—"These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."This verse admittedly uses the phrase "eternal punishment," but it is juxtaposed against the phrase "eternal life." Death by annihilation in the Lake of Fire could certainly be called "eternal punishment" because it is eternal in its consequences.. Death on earth is only temporal because everyone will be raised again at the resurrection.
@jesusLostChildren777 Death in the Lake of Fire, however, is eternal: there is no reversing it and no coming back from it. If Jesus meant for the punishment to last eternally, he probably wouldn't have contrasted it with the phrase "eternal life" which is clearly meant only for believers.
@jesusLostChildren777 If Jesus had intended what most churches believe he did with this verse, he should have said, "Both the righteous and the unrighteous will go away to eternal life, but the unrighteous will spend it being tortured while the righteous spend theirs in paradise."
John 3:16—"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."This is the most quoted verse in the Bible and also one of the clearest accounts on the annihilation of the wicked. "Whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.John didn't write that "whoever believes in Him shall not have everlasting life in torment, but rather have everlasting life in Heaven."-
@jesusLostChildren777 ." The way most churches interpret this, they mentally replace the very clear word "perish" with something that means nearly the opposite: "never perish."Once again, the words "eternal life" and "life" are associated strictly with the righteous. The word "death" is reserved for the unrighteous, who will not go to Heaven.-
@jesusLostChildren777 It takes a good bit of theological gymnastics to continually reinterpret these divinely inspired Words of God to mean the exact opposite of their natural meanings. Since when does "death" mean "eternal life away from God"? If John intended to say that, he should have used almost any other word instead of "death."
Matthew 10:28 Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather, be afraid of the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell. so the bible contradict it self? clearly it say it can kill the body and soul.i dont now about you but destroying something dont mean we life forever in Hell. 1 Timothy 6:15-16

I love to ask someone this question...Do we need to continue to read the The Bible once we find God,? After all, He lives within us and we can look around and see the beauty of creation and continue to grow towards God. Of course they always say no, but then I ask the question? What about those who never hear the word? Oh, then they say, well they should know God because they can see Him in creation, ect., therefore, according to them, one can come to God with out The Bible. Meditate on this...
I am amazed that we still get people that think that the pit or hell as people have come to know it isn't real when it is as real as you or me. So I ask the question to those who do not believe that hell is real. What version are you reading from and second what preacher ect is telling you this?
The vast majority of Rev.interpretations are error. They say that John's incredible work is to be translated literally, the opposite of how it should be. Christianity, the perfect Love is the opposite of churchianity which limits Love. Jesus liberated love in the human heart, changing human nature to a reflection of divinity. For churchianity to limit divinity in man is to make it the opposite of Christ, namely ungod. No man will go to hell because they haven't heard about Jesus.
I read all these comments below, and can see how man (people) that just want to debate against the truth are Hell bent on disagreeing with what the Bible says IN CONTEXT. The Bible describes these types of people..."For they are Willfuly Ignorant of the Truth" - Stupid on purpose, and "ever learning but never able to come to the Truth" from such turn away.
Segments of the early church expressed the true Christ Love. They said that others who shared their spirit, even if they never heard of Jesus, were their brothers and sisters. Deviates from Love are closest to the non-healing,wrathful, warring beast. Gaining the lessons of lovelessness, selfishness, animality, egotism, narrow-mindedness, judmentality, we know better the meaning of the metaphor "beast." Then we separate ourselves from it and the likeness of Love that we are meant to be appears.
Whosoever interprets the scriptures without the spiritual sense errs. Again, no person goes to hell, which properly understod, is a state separate from heavenliness, lovelssness. Fundamentalists never interpret the scriptures right. I remember Jesu saying that whores will enter the kingom of God before the religious legalists. Learns the lesson right and have the Mind that is Christ and perhaps someday you will love God and man properly. Love is heaven..
What about the native americans in the middle ages? They had never heard of Jesus. Does this mean that if they had believed God, God would have revealed Jesus to them?
@aaa333ify - In Genesis, Abraham believed God when God said that He would send a "seed" from his descendants whereby men could be saved. That seed was Jesus. Abraham was trusting God for a Savior in the future, & it was counted to him as righteousness - Romans 4:3. It is by trusting God that we believe in His Son. We can't come to God our own way.
@aaa333ify God is the creator of all things. No one but God has the power to create. Satan did not invent this place of torment; God did. It was God's design. God isn't sitting up in Heaven with His hands tied wishing He had the power to change the system—it's His own system! Even those who try to claim that God did not create Hell still have to accept that it is fully within His power to destroy it.
@jesusLostChildren777 . If God didn't create Hell, why does He allow most of His beloved creations to be tortured in it? Anyone experiencing God's actual presence know that GOD id Love. Where in LOVE is there place for Love's opposite? You of unreformed human thought cant answer this question intelligently because of hypnotic addiction to hell.God doesn't think like a mortal. That is pagan belief. Our scriptures are misconstrued because unreformed mortal sense can not know these things intelligently. It'll take centuries for ill-luminaries like Martin to sense aright one syllable regarding the Mind of Christ.
"Brimstone Fanatics" are delusionary. There is no such thing as "hell" except in the minds of the fearful. GOD is Love. And the only way to "worship" GOD is to love absolutely. Martin is extremely mistaken and he has carried his spiritual deficiencies over the River Styx. So much for him. These videos of him don't count for nothing real except what to avoid becoming yourself. @johnankerberg This verse admittedly uses the phrase "eternal punishment," but it is juxtaposed against the phrase "eternal life." Death by annihilation in the Lake of Fire could certainly be called "eternal punishment" because it is eternal in its consequences. Death on earth is only temporal because everyone will be raised again at the resurrection. Death in the Lake of Fire, however, is eternal:

(Psalms 37:20. vanish a way into smoke i dont think you are vanished if you are still in Hell.
@johnankerberg hole bible is full of verses that proof destruction of the wicked.people use some verses to proof eternal hell.most verses is hell wrongly translated or just misunderstood.we dont have eternal soul bible say that eternal living whit God is a gift..eternal hell is a pagan and Greek concept that find its way in to Christianity what is really a lie from Satan.if you are really interesting in the truth see this video.TheFireThatConsumes_sect_1 or see my channel
@bmiller4930 Rev 14:9b-11 If any man worship the beast and his image...The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and BRIMSTONE in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.
@bmiller4930 Rev 21:7-8 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and BRIMSTONE: which is the second death.--you mean that brimstone?
Sheol in the OT and Hades in the NT are the state of the dead, not a burial site as is qwber in hebrew. Thanatos in the greek is an enduring state, not a momentary thing. You need to look at the words translated into these words. You forgot pit also.
The pace many call hell is from the city dump, ben hinnom valley. ghi-hinnom is gehenna which as you can see is from the word and refers to the place of destruction.
You can write me at yahoo if you wish. I'm ilovelife71
Ottawan61350, YAHUSHUA (JESUS CHRIST) used that city dump "Gehenna" as an analogy of the Lake of Fire for the common people who were familiar with that garbage dump, so that they could get a better idea of what the Lake of Fire will be like. Unquenchable fire, utter darkness, worms and maggots that will not die, that is always having some rot to feed off of. And the continuous yelling, cursing and horrific screaming that will all be present forever in this Lake of Fire and Brimstone.

Then why does the Greek speak of 'Hell'/'Hades'??????
anaplast 2 years ago
Sheol in the OT and Hades in the NT are the state of the dead, not a burial site as is qwber in hebrew. Thanatos in the greek is an enduring state, not a momentary thing. You need to look at the words translated into these words. You forgot pit also.
The pace many call hell is from the city dump, ben hinnom valley. ghi-hinnom is gehenna which as you can see is from the word and refers to the place of destruction.
