Why try and reach the lost......? They are better off not hearing the Gospel since their guaranteed heaven already.  Why did paul preach the "Good News" to those who hadnt heard it, if they were going to heaven already? I do love Dr. Martin and think he is an excellent teacher, but this belief and teaching is false.

With all respect to the late Dr. Martin, I would go a step further and say that the fact that all the billions who died without hearing the name of Christ is confirmation that those same people sadly never truly sought salvation. (Romans 10:14,15)

He admits that the creator has countless ways to reach the creation.

This 'doctrine' of 'Jesus is the only way' is an elementary understanding of what the Christ taught and imparted to the earth.

Those who never cease to argue against clear Biblical teachings on hell are the ones who know they are going there and are trying every way possible to get out of it. I love to ask someone this question...Do we need to continue to read the The Bible once we find God,? After all, He lives within us and we can look around and see the beauty of creation and continue to grow towards God. Of course they always say no, but then I ask the question? What about those who never hear the word? The vast majority of Rev.interpretations are error. They say that John's incredible work is to be translated literally, the opposite of how it should be. Christianity, the perfect Love is the opposite of churchianity which limits Love. Jesus liberated love in the human heart, changing human nature to a reflection of divinity. For churchianity to limit divinity in man is to make it the opposite of Christ, namely ungod. No man will go to hell because they haven't heard about Jesus.

@aaa333ify - In Genesis, Abraham believed God when God said that He would send a "seed" from his descendants whereby men could be saved. That seed was Jesus. Abraham was trusting God for a Savior in the future, & it was counted to him as righteousness - Romans 4:3. It is by trusting God that we believe in His Son. We can't come to God our own way.

God isn't sitting up in Heaven with His hands tied wishing He had the power to change the system—it's His own system! So, you are saying that if someone dies while believing in God, but not in Jesus, they go to Heaven?

Or are you saying if someone believes in God, they will eventually come to believe in Jesus?

@aaa333ify - If someone is truly seeking God, He will reveal the truth to them & they will come to believe in Jesus. I have heard so many testimonies from missionaries of natives telling them that they knew about Jesus, they just didn't know his name. God uses various ways to communicate to individuals about Jesus. God is just, so He isn't going to allow people to go to hell without giving them the opportunity to accept Jesus. I will have to check on the Greek word for you - JAS Staff

Sheol in the OT and Hades in the NT are the state of the dead, not a burial site as is qwber in hebrew. Thanatos in the greek is an enduring state, not a momentary thing. You need to look at the words translated into these words. You forgot pit also.

The pace many call hell is from the city dump, ben hinnom valley. ghi-hinnom is gehenna which as you can see is from the word and refers to the place of destruction.

Ottawan61350, YAHUSHUA (JESUS CHRIST) used that city dump "Gehenna" as an analogy of the Lake of Fire for the common people who were familiar with that garbage dump, so that they could get a better idea of what the Lake of Fire will be like. Unquenchable fire, utter darkness, worms and maggots that will not die, that is always having some rot to feed off of. And the continuous yelling, cursing and horrific screaming that will all be present forever in this Lake of Fire and Brimstone.
