I just remember the spirits being nothing much but NPCs in that game. I didn't even use spells, due to how worthless they are.

@CastlePokemetroid Been too long since I played that. I have no idea if anyone died or not. I didn't find the spells to be worthless. They worked decent enough. Then again I did level and stone grind rather hard.

And in Children of Mana, the spells do negligible damage. I played through half the game with the starting sword. You really don't need anything else until at least half way through. Even then, you don't need anything but swords.

The sword also got the best stone abilities. Double damage and a large attack boost? Negate all damage period when you guard with a sword? Yes please.

I can relate to HC on the dream herb thing, I have a habbit to save up all my gems in Diablo 2, and never use them; BUT I HAVE GOOD REASON! Every time I use one, I always get another of that gem and then I can make the next level with my cube. EVERY TIME!

=/ i dunno I think your power leveling too much, the game wasn't that hard even with my uneducated reckless style of play, I arrived at a last boss at about level 50 -51, Carlie makes it into easy mode really

2:18 What's wrong with Final Fantasy IV? it's amazing! sure the models and textures aren't the best, and yeah, the game is very hard on your first playthrough...but the story is good, the Voiceacting is great, and the bossfight's are surprisingly difficult (I hate you CPU core...so much...If I kill your drones first, you revive them...if I try to kill you first, the Laser Barrage 1-shots my team.)...oh wait...you're talking about the SNES version...

Dryad isn't that bad in Dawn of Mana. But the reason she's always such a downer is because every tim you find her, SOMETHING has drained her power since as the Spirit of Wood, she has the closest ties to the Mana Tree directly. Do something to Dryad, you weaken the Mana Tree.

Even if an enemy doesn't have a weakness, sabers still buff your strength in addition to changing your element, so it's still good to use them.

Yeah, one of the reasons I personally never liked using Kevin as the main character was because he talks like a caveman (or a beastman!) and that always took away seriousness from most conversations of the game xD
