  • thumps up if he drives hella crazy

  • or your could just duck tape it to ur head

  • mmmm what about an arduino and a couple of servos to move it controlled by some pushbuttons on the wheel ?

  • at 2:25 i though he drives that fast

  • i bet his car has got hidden machine guns....

  • thumbs up for gopro

  • i want 3-in1 basket ball toy

  • im going to use this for my SCV(Storm Chase Vehicle)

  • heej at 2:39 a see my parants car.

    no i'm kidding

  • Try putting that in an airplane seat headrest LOL you could get some nice footage XD

  • dollar tree has the mini tripod sometimes. today they have laptop stands.

  • Step 1: Steal cop car

    Step 2: TROLL FACE!

  • i dont belive kip kay can drive that fast!

  • @guacantikloo lol its fast forwarded

  • can i connect it to both seats?

    1:06

  • That tripod is USELESS! I made a similar rig for my bike and when I went on a bump the plastic tripod bolt broke and is now stuck in my camera. Stupid dollar store.

  • $15 in parts. Hundreds of dollars in tools.

  • Love it

  • only kipkay would put the bar on the front of the headrest.

  • Acura!

  • why does your car have no licence plate?

  • @ernshengjoel he may take it off so no one on youtube can see his license plate #

  • WHERE DOES HE KEEP ALL THIS STUFF!!!

  • Hm, it shakes too much. It would be good to devise some kind of stabilizing system to isolate the car's vibrations from the camera.

  • @ThatBum42 I think it is fine. The video you are seing is at accelerated speed. I think at normal speeds it vibrates much slower and is not easyly detected by the eye, what do you think?

  • You could probably get some folding parts (Hinges, etc..) and have another rod come off of the first making it work as to record the driver

  • I made one but it makes the camcorder shake. Makes the vids nearly impossible to watch. I even put one sided stick rubber foam under the camera and still didnt help.

  • uhh....kipkay.....u was speeding xp

  • Whoa-ho-ho I hope he can film himself getting a speeding ticket at 2:25.

  • i have question. could you turn the tripod mount 180 degrees and make a back seat cam so u could video tape the back seat people?

  • @dnettles1996

It just screws on the top, turn it. Says at 2:30

  • its like he got caught by the police and for got to turn it off

  • just bought the parts, just waiting on the tripod from ebay. cant wait to build this.

  • You could just drill two holes and put the head rest through the holes so you don't have to make a bracket

  • 0:21 thats what she said

  • is your car from acura

  • @mepwnyou012 you don't see the acura sign on the car!!!

  • @DjTrixx100 stop at 0:02

  • that will scratch my head rest. Best to put some rubber where they meet

  • kipkay!? TEH F0CK?!

  • its called having someone else in the car holding a camcorder

  • A much better way would be to use solar panel mounts and clips and there's no drilling or problems with mount as they are completely adjustable to any size and therefore much better since you could put it in any car in any direction anywhere you have a mountable area.

  • HACKER!

  • No speeding please, thanks.

  • kipkay speeds look how many people he passed.

  • I'd just tape that fuckin cam to my car... lol, wtf, how fast is he drivin? xD

  • thumbs up if you think he is a good driver hahaaa

  • sy382 is getting horney of tripods

  • @1HarRan1

    And?

  • Easier idea, velcro on the dashboard or elastic band on the headrest!

  • the cam corder hold maybe 15 dollars but the cam corder is 300 dollars

  • @gord162 or 1000 dollars

  • @gord162 they sell decent camcorders for about $100 and its hd ... i own one

  • or u culd tape it down, with alot of tape

  • @Halo3worldatGTA then u would ruin the camcorder ... and how would u get the memory card out if it is on the bottom

  • @brian9827 rip the tape of lol

  • F5 = skip advertisement.

  • @rampersaud97 its a fast motion idiot

  • wing nuts!

  • That was the cutest little tri-pod I have ever seen.

  • or just grap a crap load of duct tape, and tape it to the dashboard, haha :P

  • Kipkay: Tune into next week's video, I am going to show you how to end world hunger, less than $10.00.

  • your a pretty fast driver kip

  • Jeez, kipkay! You drive fast!

  • @TheRandomflames it is a fast motion idiot

  • Just gimme a flipcam and 2 rolls of duct-tape XD

  • Dollar store?! Fuck, I bought one at a camera store for 15 freakin' bucks!

  • lol 147 is my bus number

  • I always wanted to see how much lice I have!

    =D

  • back seat banging

  • hehe back seat banging

  • Thanks for mentioning Tripshot. You can buy it from AziMotion directly or from Amazon. It's an option for in-car camcorder mounting that doesn't use suction cups or require headrest mounts. It is secured by a seat belt and lets you mount a tripod/camcorder. See more videos at the mytripshots YouTube group.

  • Reading the comments - check out Tripshot by a company called AziMotion. This may be an option for you (also has video of footage on curvy roads). Good luck!

  • well i cant do that in my RSX D: it doesn't have those kind of seats ...

  • looks simple, but you need to find all that stuff :S. The 1 buck tripod looks easy to find but its not.....

  • Cool, simple camera mount-I like it. I also made a couple of car camera mounts for the dash-board & the license plate (even posted a "how-to" video on YouTube about it), but I may have to build my own version of your rig for more versatility in shooting from a vehicle.

  • naw, drivin in the canyons... its hard to stay still on hard turns

  • nice 3.2 TL

  • Just hope you never get into an accident, that brace could cause serious neck, spine problems.

Not sure you would be covered by your insurance, because of that mod.

If in an accident, the police could charge you for undue care while driving, -all they have to do is check the video seconds before the crash.

I'm just saying- it's a fine idea you have there, I would just research the "Worst Case Scenarios" first before employing this.

  • For the life of me I cannot find a tripod like that anywhere. I went to at least 10- 1$ stores and nothing. I guess they don't sell it in Seattle, WA..

Can anyone recommend an alternative ???

  • it was just on Fast Forward

  • how do i make a car camera mount on the rear veiw mirror? thanks

  • thank you guys i needed this gadget to film my canyon runs cuz my friend holding it just wasnt cuttin it

  • @punkrboi haha same i need mine for all my hig speed runs haha mates holding the camera is ok but wud rather it just me in the car... camcorder mount = weight reduction = faster = win :)

  • I never made one,my bhoy holds the camcorder for me.

  • this one is much better than mine...

    Nice Acura though. heh

  • Nice! Although I don't have a car... (I tried this on my mom's car, XD!)

  • Thats cool, but how would you design it so the vibrations of the car wouldn't shake the camera? Those gyro things?

  • I'd like to put one of these on my driver side near the door, pointed out the window for when I get pulled over.

  • @xxjohnhoukxx I dont get it,

  • 2:30 is that I-75 in Florida? I swear I recognize that bus at 2:36

  • After watch your video. I modified a 54" cheapo tripod that I no longer use. Cut out the 3 legs and re-configured the head. I can silde in and out then locked. Work out great for me.

  • i had same exact tripod they suck

  • I get the same exact tripod at "Dollar Tree"

  • ii did that and turned back wards and plugged in to the tv vhs dvd palyer in my car and i can see all around me when driving

  • y

    lol

  • lol he calls this easy

  • that is easy r u retarded or somethin

  • Why don't you just drill holes in the aluminum and slide the head rest through?

  • Because not all cars have detachable head rests

  • yea or get pair of cellphone hands for the dash board and set it on those like i do...

  • that's pretty cool, now i can pretend to be a stupid american cop show!

  • THIS IS COOL

  • don't that hurt your head

  • u shouldn't do this someone may want to break into ur car

  • were u speeding?

  • dude its a highway

  • even if its a highway thats way too fast

  • hey i don't go to highways a lot with my parents

  • well plz do b4 u start judging others

  • ok sorry for that

  • really? wow.. he just sped up the video and then did a voice over..

  • he does often speed things up

  • He sped the video up...

  • were u speeding?

  • Ur a fast driver! ;s

  • how about one for those of us that don`t have head rests on our seats?

  • Then you're screwed...?

  • then i guess i will have to make one that bolts to the trim screws in y old pickups.

  • none of my trucks have headrests.

  • Genius! Thanks!

  • yeah fuck bob stop it leave us youtubers alone

  • look good but it needs some kinda stabiliser.

  • i have that mini tripod:)

  • fuck bob

  • Cool, something that's perfect for Davesfarm and his cars!!! :D

  • yeah!!

  • i would just drill holes in the aluminium, so the headrest held the bar in place, insted of the eyebolts

  • probably uses the eyebolts so the mount is tightly held in place, although lowering the head rests would do the same thing. However some headrests are not easily removed.

  • Great video, i am definately going to be doing this.

  • Where can you get that mini tripod in the UK?

  • poundland

  • Probably at a hardware or electronics store.

  • you might not get one that chep in the uk, but i bought one off amazon for a fiver, to my door.

  • PoundLand! Everything is a pound!

  • oh fuckin hell youre a hard man to please arent u!

  • na, he just went out of his way to mount it like that when he could had just drilled holes and slid the headrest over...and it wouldn't look so ghetto, lol

  • you wouldnt be able to tighten it and it would rattle as a result

  • not with the headrest slid down tight on it

  • but the hearest would move as the weight of the camera at the end of the boom would leverage it up and ruin the shot, also not everyones headrest comes out.

  • why didnt he just drill holes in it to put the headrest through

  • awsomw!!!

  • dang its looked like u were speeding

  • he was speeding the video !!!!!!

  • but with the talking it was like he was speeding xD

  • You drive really fast! ;)

  • lol i bought that exact tripod at a dollar store. sucky tripod, but what the heck, its a dollar

  • why did he only mount it to 1 headrest why not across both

  • You could use both, for more stability.

  • You could use a GPS mount from a high sell retailer and mount a home made hood to the camera lens from a gun shop for a rifle scope if they make them that small to help cut sun glare.

  • I just used some ducktape and stick it on the dashboard behind the windscreen

  • lol

  • windshield. it doesnt screen the wind moron

  • omg kipkay, you drive too fast!!!

  • hey u could put that on ur rear bumper and put a small lcd tv or monitor and hook it all up to use it as a backing device

  • i have the same dollar store tripod

    haha

  • nice, but i dont have a saw, or drill haha

  • cool i made one! but mine is just a piece of string that is tied to the roof and camera

  • hahahaha

thats gonna bounce around every where

    lol

  • yeah

  • I want to build one, but I don't have $15 (no joke, I got $10 cash I found in the parking lot, and $4 in my debit account. That's why you don't move out of the house to go to college kids!) I may have some stuff lying around though.

  • that sucks redhotcustoms...really tho that sucks

  • Luckily since posting that I got $25 for mowing my uncle's lawn. Not much, but it's $25 more than what I had.
