I'm working on an alternate way of doing this, instead of using the auto-trace function I'm writing a simple texture transfer algorithm in c++. That way I can use a base image as the "style" of rotoscoping.
if you'll download and install ubuntu you'll have a dual boot machine which can do it. alternative is to install vmware and run ubuntu in a virtual machine. i don't have windows on my computers. for help on this you'll have to find an other expert. if this is a one time action i can do this for you
awesome.... that is pretty cool... i just used the good old plugin toonit for After Effects for my video love the effect

Use my script and have it done auto-magickally :)

Cool script. Just tried it off some video I shot on my n85. Incredible what you can do nowadays with free software.

How can I get your script to work on a PC?
carface100 1 year ago
You start with an ubuntu installation and then you follow the instructions in the beginning of the script.
It is a hack and example, and not really a publishable software package.
Please let me know if you make something interesting with this script.

Very cool final product. I don't know whether the almost choppy look was intentional, but I definitely like it!
How time-intensive was this?

i quite liked it

it would look more like a legit rotoscope with a higher framerate
