@pzdontsaystupidreply naw i was just joking around but it had that "psychological" effect on me and me thinking about staring into the sun bothered my eyes...
It's important we keep earth as Natural as Possible. Thousands of years of Construction have crushed ancient artifacts that came the creation of Earth. Some are Meteorites hundreds of light years away broken and thrown in the trash. Archeology has been buried by concrete if not totally destroyed. Landscape has totally changed.
@raihan093 dude, it's a science company that risks millions to get a simple info about the sun activate and you say it's a fake? grow up and see what technologies our modern life created + there are lot of high secret technologies built only it's company know of.
On the 10th of august I had some problems with my phone... My friend texted me like six times and I got them about 3-4 hours after he sent them... Does that have anything to do with it?
@DavidOD11850 The last solar maximum was in 2000. The next solar maximum is currently predicted to occur sometime between January 2010 and May 2013 NASA researchers had announced that the next solar maximum would be the strongest since the historic maximum in 1859 in which the northern lights could be seen as far south as Rome, approximately 42° north of the equator.
@DavidOD11850 yes, it is, but don't worry, it happens every 11 years or so, it's usually no big deal, unless it's a big one, but still, the worst thing that could happen is that our electronics will fry, no fear, our sun is no killer, unless ofcourse you don't use your sunlotion, ever.
@JoeyPsych Not yet. But millions of years from now, the sun will take all of the matter used in the formation of the system back and cast out a massive cloud of dust LIGHT YEARS across. This cloud, then, forms new star systems as gravity draws particles together as the dust sticks to each other. And the cycle begins again...
@Doomcharger It's not that I didn't know that stars will "explode". It's just that "our" sun doesn't have enough mass to go nova.
It will grow in size, and then it will shrink to a smaller size than it is at this point. But we'll never experience that, because long before that our sun will have burned the earth, and even longer before that humans will have either left the earth or gone extinct.
Still the point was that the sun is not dangerous at this point or in our lives alltogether.
Well let's say if the sun hits the Earth too hard with a solar flare
You cannot ask me "why" anymore since the power will be down and most probably lots of internet connections
And thats just a beginning!
NASA says they are tracking the path of asteroids heading towards Earth
But maybe they should show a map of what asteroids are coming near and how hazardous they can be as in size before entry and estimated size after entry
And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, with perplexity; the sea and the waves roaring;
@raw5069 yes, you are absolutly right, every 11 years jesus comoes down to check up on us if the devil himself hasn't started his little war yet. You realy know your science mate ;)
@raw5069 Well, lets try and work out how our universe works using religion, oh we can't!! Lets put our faith in god and believe it will protect us from the sun and all the other potentially lethal objects in our system, oops, we can't do that either cos god isn't there. Religion has been around for aeons and has brought nothing but war, famine and false hope with no proof of a deity. Our science is in it's infancy and has furthered our species exponentially. Religion LOL...idiot! Xx
@aei05h1 You are both right and wrong. To understand universe with religion is probably the same as if we tried to drew an chemical equation from a cooking book. Religion helps people to discover the spiritual world, science is for physical world. God created the universe and science may try to find out how this masterpiece of creation works and was created.
Not every religion says it's good to love your enemies... even if a person is religious one isn't perfect, just may try to be (or may not)
@raw5069 actualy I do know, probably more so than that you know yourself. At least I had the decency to find out who I am. You just stuck with what people inprtinted in your mind, and never developed any further. I have news for you son, even if there is a god, he is most likely very displeased with the likes of you. You've never shown any progress in life, and never seeked out how to truly work in his name, just use his name in vain, oops, broke the first commandment.
@raw5069 Whoa. I was gonna call Poe on you, but you're actually for real! Lighten up, man. That hardliner approach will get you no where. Especially here. I hate to be harsh, but you're just coming off as the type of high and mighty person who enjoys looking down on us non-believers a little too much. To each his own, my friend.
@raw5069 Alls I'm saying is I think there are probably better ways to "warn people" than giving people the impression that you're a mad prophet. It's just too divisive and casts a bad light on Christians (who I know are generally good people, just like any other segment of the population) in the eyes of the people who have responded to you here. Not only that, but the people who do like the sound of what you're saying most likely already agree with you anyways. Be positive, man! :)
@AnotherPostcard I hear you, i just don't agree with you. I don't hold back from telling the truth, if the truth hurts good, it should. I don't know where your coming from or even if your IN Christ, being positive won't save anyone's soul from Hell. What we have is The Word of God, nothing else matters, if what Jesus said bothers someone, it is doing exactly what it was meant to do, Jesus said it best "either your for me or against me" This hold thing started because I quoted Him. Luke 21:25
@raw5069 Well I can see I'm not going to convince you! The quote you posted was actually the only reason I replied to you in the first place. Although I don't take too much religious meaning from it myself (FYI, I am at the most, a deist), I admit it was thoughtful and nice to read. I hear all the time that in a literary sense, the bible is actually an interesting read.
@raw5069 Also, just so you don't get the feeling I've singled you out, I've tried making the same point regarding positivity to hardliner atheists, and even other groups of people in various disagreement. I guess it's just that I feel like we all get wrapped up in these things, our heads become shrouded in the clouds and we and forget to come back down to Earth to remember that we're all generally good people.
very interesting thanks
