Geee now talk about cutting wages now.... Yea Maccas put kids on there to work because they dont have to pay them as much.... now they are getting kids to work on the roads... next you know they will be driving trucks..... HELL what the world coming to.
good on him! i learnt too arc n mig weld when i was 4, driving all asortments of wheeled & tracked machines as a teen and now heavy trucks and machine tools as a tradesman, the younger you learn the higher your understanding of safety and correct work procedures(when under correct supervision) get em into it early and have em maintaining the world, not glued too tv n computer games
welding (very much) at a young age is something i`m not fond of due to all the gases produced but good for you i`ve also been around everything all my life.
its all right i was the same way but younger my dad had me on equipment before i could walk ive been runin dozer trackhoes, artic trucks , packers , etc . since i was 3-4 . but thankfuly my dad owns the comp so i still get to play with them but i get paid to now .
Ur a lucky kid the first thing i lernt to drive was a Dingo mini loader, Then a CASE 920B front end loader, KOMATSU excavator, then a INTERNATIONAL HOUGH 30 front end loader, i love operating these big Tonka toys but i dont own anyhing hopefully im gonna start a earthmoving business oneday!
Mat's Father and Grandfather are both into construction, this is the smallest piece of equipment mat operates, the other bulldozer is twice this size and he drives that with no problem ...
Near where I live, there's an old field of some abandoned construction equipment and vehicles. I've been considering going out there and hotwiring some old bulldozers similar to that one and trying to operate them.
LOL

Gee, I started late. I was 8 and it was an early 60s (or older) D6. Took both hands for me to pull the johnson bar.
Pulled a big drag to smooth out a runway.

That kid sure knows what he's doing!!
I actually think it was a good idea to let him use the dozer.
Teach him to use it properly and safely from a young age and he'll be set for life.
