Wow this is the video I was looking for. Just to clarify I need a dual DVI Video card. Im looking at a ENGTX560 Ti DirectCU II TOP GeForceGTX 560 Ti 1GB PCI-E w/ Dual DVI, mini HDMI. And i need a Displayport to DVI adapter
@427MOTORSPORTS That is the same question I've been asking EVEYONE lol. Yet no one seems to know :( If you find out. Please LMK. As far as I can tell. No. It won't work with DP to HDMI it HAS to be to VGA.
Hey, I'm going to check how much monitors with a displayport cost around here but in case they turn out to be expensive, what's the name/code of the adaptor you're using? Not all of them can work since you found a cheap one that does I'd like the name please, thanks.
How well do you think eyefinity would work on a setup wit 1 24" screen abd 2 22" on thesides? My computer is a intel i5 760 2.8GHz 8 gb of ram ddr3 and a radeon hd 6870 1GB graphic card and the screens is benQ lcd monitors
Hi, i just got 3X23' Acer led, i used 2 DVI and 1 DP-VGA adapter from sapphire and its supports 1920X1200, and am using HD5870 Vapor-X, the problem is the LED conceited to DP-VGA adapter cant go higher than 1600 resolution, how to solve that? pleas help
what size are those monitors? i am considering setting up an eyefinity setup and i would like to know what are some pretty good sizes to use? i manly game and edit videos, and i'm not a hardcore gamer meaning i am not ready to drop all my cash on 3 huge and expensive monitors.
great setup dude! i have been using a sony bravia 46incd lcd (100htz), i got one dell 24ich just like yours and have been thinking to go with 3 dells for eyefinity. can you make the primary screen the middle screen? when you watch a movie is it spread across the 3 monitors?
I will be very grateful if you can help me.I have graphic card XFX ATI RADEON HD 5670-512MB.Can you tell me please which cables i must to have that all three monitors work. The card have DVI,HDMI and DP.Thank you ones more!
@nerdishcouk not if you have a FleX card......if you get one of these you can do basically any combination of the available ports on the back of the card.
I think the 5870's had 6 Mini DisplayPorts on them, for folk looking for a good way to set up something like this for the sake of screen real estate more than gaming and stuff.
get widescreen fixer if you dont have it. Its a free program. Just do a search for it if you dont already have it. Youll know what I mean when u see the difference if you havent already. It will put your gun in the middle monitor instead of spanning across both the center and the right screen. Puts things in a lot better perspective:)
@Fowtowsjop if you would have paid attention to what i wrote fucking retard you would realise you are a retard i wrote 3 vga cables he have 1 vga and 2 dvi
@Dashnikian Why immediatly get pissed at people when they misunderstand something? I did not offend you in any way, i was just saying one thing, if you go raging about that, you should take some lessons to learn to control yourself buddy.
i heard theres flickering on the vga one is this true?
do i also have to have matching monitor sizes ? like an idiot i bought a 24.6 and now cannot fit 2 more the same size on the current desk..so im looking at buying 2 monitors and a desk yuk.
@kornskydiver as long as the vga monitor isn't bigger than like 30 inches yes, VGA cannot display bigger than like 1920x980, DVI can display bigger images.
peopel say u can get 3 screens at 1920x1200. i have three 24 inch monitors and i can only get up to 1680x1050 with the dpto vga adapter. i even baught a 2nd adapter from sapphire that says its supports 1920x1200 through this vga adapter and it still wont work. i got 2 connectiongs through the cards dvi ports and 1 through the display port to vga. oh i have a radeon hd 5770 if that helps. does it work or not because ive read on reviews it does.
@diabolicalheaven VGA should support up to 1920 x 1200 but you often find that with eyefinity you get all sorts of problems. You really cant go wrong with the active dp to DVI adapter, however some complaints that the USB isnt powerul enough to power the conversion and sometimes the screen cuts out. Try a Displayport to DVI (single link) passive adapter.
@OwnaejNinja Well with my 5870 i can maxed out MW2 with average of about 55fps. Proabably even 60fps if i had a better processor, it actually runs very good, although some console ports can run like crap.
i seem to be running into an issue on my end and was wondering if you could help me out. I have a standard DP2VGA adapter plugged in to a 25" monitor. When i boot up with JUST that monitor connected i get a nice native resolution image, however when i plug my DVI 19" monitor in, my DP2VGA monitor jumps down to 640x480 and i cannot fix it
RE: Although Yes you can run the set up like you have it I would like to point out that VGA is not an HD signal, With that being said your loosing ALOT of quality by not getting the 100$ adapter. Im sure the people who spend 450$ on a video card (ATI 5970) have no problem spending the extra 100$ to get the best quality out right now. You cant just say you DONT need a 100$ displayport adapter.Running it your way is more of an affordable alternative with a lesser quality results.
are you got lower fps with 3 monitors?
