poor spider he wasnt aware he was even in a fight. all the bees gotta do is sting the spider, his victory would be short lived seeing how the bee will die after using its stinger.

Not all bees die after using their stinger. In this case the wasp NOT a honey bee has a needle stinger(like this ------) whereas a honey bee not as yellow/black and more fuzzy has a hook like stinger (->->) the hook stinger gets caught and breaks off because of this and rips of it's intestine's in the process--> hence the death. Spider was aware of the fight just didn't want to take part as the battle would likely leave both mortally wounded.
