M14 Hand grenades aren't used. They're in the US inventory, just like the Mk77 fire bombs, and VX gas. It doesn't mean that they are actually used.

Perhaps you've seen the Mythbuster demonstration using 1000lbs of thermite and how miserably ineffecient it is at what it does. Thermite burns very hot but not for a prolonged period and is not as nearly destructive as most people give it credit for.

I have seen Demolition videos where the demolition crews discuss how they safely bring buildings down, GUESS WHAT! THEY USE THERMITE!!! It's not that I'm "dense" so much as I was trained in munitions and explosives. Thermite is an overhyped chemical reaction that really results in very little more than a neat pyrotechnics display. Thermite grenades are very, very ever used by the military. And never, ever used in demolitions.

Demo teams uses explosives that consist of C-4, Det cord, shape charges, sometimes straight-up crude TNT, and time fuse.

That's it.

No thermite involvement.

But it would be a good alternative to shape charges, because it cuts through steel quickly, and it is, compared to explosives, quiet. A pretty important factor if you want to ninja-demo the two biggest towers in the middle of New York.

So maybe they usually choose other solutions, but in this case, thermite could've been the best option. Though I'm convinced, as is obvious from all the video footage, that regular explosions did occur en masse during the collapse of the towers.

I doesn't cut as much as melt through what it's in contact with. That being said thermite is exceptionally prone to the gravitational forces making it very difficult to melt anything that isn't directly below it's chemical reaction.

Thermite doesn't go sideways, it goes down.

The "regular explosions" that occured have many explanations, none of them sinister or by explosive origins. See: electric transformer failure, elevator counter-weight drops, and steel truss stress fractures.

That only depends on the way you applicate it. And we know there's atleast a patent that describes a way to apply it so that it works any which way you want.

Your explanations of the explosions are, imo, naïeve and don't explain what we see and what many witnesses heard. These 'explanations' are thrown around without evidence hoping they will stick. Just because you believe there's nothing sinister behind this, doesn't mean the least sinister explanation is the right one.

Explanations:

Each of the Towers had several high voltage electric transformers. When transformers fail or overload they make an explosion like sound. Each of the Towers also had several banks of elevators, each elevator requires a counter-weight. Unlike elevator cars, counter-weights are not usually equipped with safety brakes. So when the elevator cables failed for whatever reason...

...it is very likely that the counter-weights fell down their shafts. When several thousands of pounds of counter-weights fall down an elevator shaft and impact it would create an explosion like sound, along with tremors.

The Towers were constructed with large steel trusses. As the fire weakened the internal structure causing the steel trusses to weaken, along with all the related fasteners connecting everything together, it is likely that they failed. Steel failing sounds like an explosion.

The sideways burn is created by placing the thermite in a compact enclosement with a narrow opening, when it reacts, it shoots out of this opening.

I'm not saying that didn't happen, I'm just saying those things falling do not account for many of the reports where we not only have explosions and tremors, but also entire floors and everything in it being demolished. Neither do they cause temperatures of 4 to 5000°F or steel to evaporate, as reported by FEMA/NY Times, nor form microspheres.

not to mention these red chips have already been debunked, if most truthers did their research, these red chips are nothing more than red oxide primer. The NIST gives the manufacturer (which i don't recall at the moment i believe its a Pennsylvania company) and blender number. The ingredients of the chips matches the exact ingredients of the paint. I think lefty makes some exc. points. If you hammer him for it you're basically forming yourself a religion. I think it was a fix but But the "paint chips" study is too micro to be valid. Even steel flakes will "ignite" if they're small enough. All the Consp. crowd need to do is identify one solid anomoly and the whole Gov. spiel becomes sus. Hence Bldg 7 freefall. No other steel structure of that size collapsed from fire because there were no others with unprotected steel subjected to fire. The steel was basicly in the same condition as that of the Kader Toy Factory. However, the structure itself was compromised by the crash. The structure of the Kader Toy Factory was not otherwise compromised.

a good question is Does any other composite or material have the same or very similar chemical signature as thermite or thermate which can be found in any building or the wtc center before demolition or fire or airplane crash? If there is no other material on Earth with the same signature or very similar signature as thermite then obviously Jones has found thermite or thermate.

I'm sure welding fume left over from construction of the towers, then expsed to high temperatures in the presence of sulphuric acid would show a lot of the same chemical signitures as any thermite formula that would be at all useful for demolitions of a steel structure.

How the hell can a layer less than a millimeter thick produce enough heat to cut two-to four inches of steel? I always needed aat least an inch-thick block.

Red oxide primer contains iron oxide, an aluminosilicate called feldspar and a binder. Feldspar can also contain potassium.

Any paint is dangerous. That it burst into flames when hit with an acetylene torch is not amazing. Even the paint applied to structural steel that wil be later welded into place can be set afire like that. It usually goes out rather quickly, though, containing, as it does, such a high level of fillers that it is not a very good source of heat.

Educated guess: the gray side is aluminum. Jones showed that the red side is iron oxide. Together, they make thermite. We can speculate that it was manufactured in this double layer and then rolled up like toilet paper or stacked like tissues to make the device. The thermite devices were placed inside the hollow box columns to weaken them and make it look like fire was responsible for the collapse.

Well, the real problem to getting this into the general public's consciousness is that the popular media debate is/has taken place between Popular Mechanics and more easily dismissable conspiracy theorists like the Loose Change kids, focusing on the weird theories. Dr Jones making the rounds and keaping to the evidence has really made a big difference though. I brought this up to my father, who is one of the nation's top physicists(SAIC senior scientist emeritus) and it really gave him pause.

I was sent this link by a friend. Amazing work. This is a turning point in history - Richard Gage and Dr. Steven Jones are pretty incredible individuals. This is a hard case to swallow for most of the American people. In the near future, the amount of evidence will speak for itself.
