mayb he doesnt do asmuch damage as a mage or lock but im sure he could pull agro and survive but if a mage or lock does your probably screwed. just think of it this way if they gave ret paladin dps equivilant to a pure dps class ppl would be up in arms how it unfar that they can heal them selfs and survive a hit when pure dps cant xD.....

actualy... my ret pala does very good damage in raids... got 1st and 2nd when i went vashj and the gear wasn't T6 or something... with good mana reg, buffs and using seal of blood palas do good dps in raids :D

Yo Fearsdad, I like your work alot, but is Retpaladins is, as I've seen on thoose comments aswell, spat on almost always. Cause of that, I've been playing as Protpaladin, declining Holy specc since I don't wanna be like every1 else. But I've collected quite a retgear in BT/Hyjal, including blood-stained pauldrons, soul cleaver, 2 brutals blabla, but point is, I can't even join for Heroics even in that gear! It's sad really. But just be brave Fearsdad! in WotLK, our era will begin!

Actually Retri pala is very helpful, maybe not the biggest dps in raids but helps everyone else and keeps up all Pala judges and increasing the dmg and critts to all others as well and I have done ZA as Retri and my mana dosn't burn fast at all. lawl play a 70 Retri pala befor saying anything and if u are a pala that meens that Retri pala aint good then well.... l2p I say cause if u get lucky u kick ass on hits and crits.

Only thing you should change about your gear is your belt, boots, gloves and maybe trinket if you want to PvE. For startes get RBoB, one of the best dps plate belts in the game, replace furious with S3 gloves, maybe get bloodlust brooch if you can, and get the scaled greaves to replace if you want. Just my 2c

Nice job, i'm a 70 ret paladin also, only thing i think you should change is the enchant on your weapon, with such a slow weapon mongoose will proc quite often, and make up for the constant +35 agility. Anyways keep up the good work. Tarzaan Earthen Ring

Paladins CAN dps, the only reason why many says different is cause there is nearly allways use for another healer. This thing is the same with boomkins..

Actually this video is not proving any dps, first of all these are 2 minute fights, i'd like to see you sustain that dps in longer fights, also Seal of command procs randomly. that's why he only has a few clips of him dishing out the large numbers; your overall dps is probably going to be lower than what you demonstrated here. I do think retri paladins are viable, but only with top notch tier5++ gear.

Overall nice Vid, but no way you can claim retribution paladins own with this

Short of recording a whole instance i am not sure what else i can do ! I sugegst you look at the meter on the bottom left. It clearly shows me top....and no i am not down there with guys in just greens.

I am usually in the top 2 or 3 in raid instances. Trust me....pallies can do ALOT of damage. My DPS is not lower than i have shown. What i have shown is examples.
