  • What I'd like to know is if Lorrie used Keith Whitley's band for this song, after he died. The instrumental on this song has a striking resemblance to Keith Whitley's songs.

  • @TheJoeyEmilyShow I think those are the "Players" Eddie Bayers on Drums, Michael Rhodes, Brent Mason and the boys; the finest session Musicians in Nashville history, who played on the records of Lorrie, Keith, George, Alan etc etc

  • @TheJoeyEmilyShow Plus this was a single for Lorrie in 1989, so it was likely cut in '88, before Keith's death on 5/9/89; notice she is still wearing her ring. Produced by the late great Barry Beckett

  • i was a soldier at ft. hood, tx when this came out, never heard of her, fell in love with her, me and my buddy john were washing our cars one weekend and the tv was on our off post apartment, and we heard Lorrie start this song and we raced to the living room just to see her sing this song, back then she was something not seen in country before, sweet, gorgeous, and us soldiers loved her. Still do, wish she and her co-artists from those days were still getting more radio. I love you Lorrie.

  • very sexy song

  • I know this song through and through.

It always makes me sing and always make me smile.

I still hear my mom singing it in the back of my mind.

I think she still sings it at home. <3

  • Great song, great performance. I heard this on the radio in 89 while on a road trip and got hooked on Lorrie for good.

  • "Out Of Your Shoes" peaked at number two for three weeks starting 12/23/89. The best single she ever did, IMO.

  • Not her father..Lorrie is great!!!!

  • Love her music, always have, she has a beautiful voice!.

  • I would give anything to be in the same room with her, just by watching her I can tell what kind of woman she is and just to meet her would be a dream of mine thanks Lorrie for the beautifull music tell your son Jesse Hi man he sure grew up

  • beautiful... MS. Morgan.... priceless.

  • Great song!

  • I loveLorrie

  • MS MORGAN IS a Classic. My son and I have always loved her. When he was three, we were in a domestic violence shelter. She did not know that, but she surmised. She played catch with him in the front yard and since it was Halloween time, she sent pumpkins and bags of candy to the porch. She truly found a way to my heart and my prayers are with her everyday.

  • Beautiful and talented

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • love it!!!

  • Classic country, just like Lorri Morgan.

  • @italiayyc I think you mean George Morgan, her father. They were one of a kind and what country

    music is really all about.

  • Big Lorrie Morgan fan here.I was lucky enough to meet her in person and hug her.I think she's awesome....great singer, and very gorgeous woman. But don't get me started on keith whitley.....drunk...drugs....cigarettes...and a very very average singer at best.He would never ever..been anywhere near tim mcgraws status lol

  • @allstarjeff1 Completely disagree on Keith Whitley's talent. I'll stop there...

  • What year did this come out? I want to say 1989 but I am not positive.

  • @holtridge

It was 1989. I'm sure of that.

  • Saw Lorrie at We-Fest she had tight brown leather pants on and could make ya so hard a cat couldn't scratch it - Truely beautiful and very talented!!!

  • Oh, can she sing. I hadn't noticed!?! Oh my goodness is this a gorgeous woman... I'd had forgotten how cute she was. RIP Keith.

  • She never really recieved the credit she desereved if Kieth hadn't died she and him would have been the Tim and Faith of their time.Great song !!!!

  • When Keith died, she gave an interview, she said, if Keith was here, he'd want me to smoke.' Hope Lorrie's wisely quit smokin' by now. Why commit slow suicide 10 minutes at a time? Hit #2 in Billboard, 12-23-89. God bless!

  • I've always loved this song. Brings back many a memory from days past. Hard to believe this was 21 years ago...time sure goes in a hurry. Thanks for the video.

  • omg thanks so much for uploading this!!! I have looked for this song forever!!

  • a great song and video by Lorrie -This video is very rarely played [if at all] by the country music stations.--- Never was even in its day -- It's a shame -- A lost gem--Thanks for the upload!

  • sweatshirt and jeans and she's still one of the most beautiful women in country music.

  • I've always loved this song! Thanks for posting it!
