my ipod is completely dead and this doesnt fix it. when i turn it on it goes to the apple logo, then a red x in a red circle that tells me to go to the apple site. the site didnt help me at all. do you know how to fix that? it literally does nothing but turn on and give me the error message

all i know is that i plugged my ipod into my computer (windows vista) and it started glitching out and just completely shut down

you can delete stuff only from itunes, so unless your harddrive died, you are a liar.

@Verliebt well, you can reset your Ipod by pressing Menu in +/- 5 sec. You can do a Harddrive reset when pressing Menu +/- 25 seconds.
