  • @2uirta. That's a lie and It's not in any Hadith.

  • We fast to expirence hunger like poor people.. Its an exam to ur reality... And its a break to a non stop stomick .. Its healthy ..

  • Good for you my friend, you are a seeker of truth.

You are interested in ego suppression. Look up a song on YouTube, search for 'aik alif coke studio'. Listen to it, then look up the lyric translation which is available on the web. I promise it will blow you away.

  • For me as Muslim when I fasting the important things to do before sleeping you must say ur intend to fast. Automatically during the day the hunger is not so bad. If no intend the day is like shit with hunger. I belief when we intend god will help to minimize the pain. So intend is very important. But anyway good try man,,,,

  • ok seriously, i love this man! he is amazing ! YOU ARE AMAZING !

  • u seem like a wonderful person ;)

    (ur muslim freind)

  • @sgirlss

    thank you

    :)

  • @clevonamerica Im a proud muslim and im really impressed with you. If there is a true 'american' you definitely one of them. Unfortunately many Americans are too ignorant of Islam and don't take the time to search for themselves what Islam really teaches but people like you make a real difference for others to come to terms. May God guide and bless you :)

  • We do eat everyday just only after dusk. Then you can eat as much as you want until dusk the next day. It's actually much easier than most people can imagine. That is once you can control your morning caffeine withdrawals. :)

  • part of fasting is not eating food, for how long & like can't put a single thing in mouth for days? how do you survive

  • @Spankyliz From the light of dawn till sunset. For the month of Ramadhan. We sahoor in the morning before we fast and we have iftar after sunset.

  • I used to think fasting would just be difficult and saw no point to it. Then I ended up becoming Muslim some time later, and this year fasted my second Ramadan alhamdulillah. Then the night before Eid I said to my mum, "It's kind of sad now that it's over"; and she said "Why? I would have thought you'd be glad the month is over?" and I remembered back to when I was a non-Muslim, having no idea about the benefits or the blessing it is to be able to fast. :( It is something everyone should try.

  • What do you think about these videos?

Signature in the Cell by Stephen Meyer

The Flagellar Motor - By Design or By Chance.wmv

  • in the month of ramadan the gates of heaven are open

  • THIS GUY IS AAAAAAAAAWWWWWWSSOOOMMMMEEEE ...

  • My first ramadhan fast was before i was a muslim, i did it "for a company" and also wanted to experience this. I fasted thye whole ramadhan plus 10 extra days afterwards (because this is what my friend did) . It was an amazing experience and a great transformation. After that, the same year i became a muslim.

  • I'm Christian

  • there is a special thing in ur face :) and i meant a kindess :D

  • You are a really friendly and wonderful man :)

  • Fasting hurts though

  • Mahshallah Brother..... It's refreshing to see an actual thinking man.... The reason I feel you sre so honest with yourself, and you look within yourself is because as you said you do NOT watch TV, and so its hard for people to mis guide you with LIES and deception...... May God Always watch over you and your family....

  • y not take ur shahadah inshallah since u so passionate bt islam ma allah guide u to this beautifull deen ameen :)

  • I did it once and broke fast with beer and pork it gave me a slight headache but the food tasted gooooooddddd best beer and pork i ever had.As for Muslims they are scum racist pigs.

  • @Durendal33 The only racist pig is yourself piece of shit. why waist your fucking time you idiot. Fasting and then break fast beer and pig. What is the fleeping point? you fat pig

  • hey, I love what you are doing, by the way it is ok to be jealous of the good things people do and to want to do things good like them, not to take credit for what they did but to want to do something similar

  • the best thing about ramadhan is that you are fighting devil and controling lust, eager, greed and control on your anger and make you patience

  • i did not get these feelings when i fasted. My mum said i was grumpy a lot, but maybe that is because i am very dependent on food.

  • Ramadan is over, miss it already :D

  • Bro jus look into islam more deeper...i can see u a person of clean heart....n u will c everything in ur life will b put into perspective...u shud c if islam is the true religion for u...no pressure ofcourse...and thbx for ur video...peace

  • 3 cups of tea guy was a fraud. He didn't even build 1 single school anywhere. He was just a tourist in Afghanistan.

  • remember: no eating,no drinking,no smoking,no sex,no drugs. happy ramadan :)

  • the reason of fasting is: to feel how people who are in africa feel or ppl who live on the street.

  • "looking at the trees, they look different" you're probably just high (JK)

  • May ALLAAH (Azza wa Jal / Mighty and Majestic) continue to guide you to Straight Path. Aameen.

    rammadan happy

    to you

  • In Ramadhan you don't only refrain your stomach from food and water but all of your limbs are also fasting and your soul is also fasting.

    1. Your tongue MUST NOT speak a lie, engage in back biting, or vulgarity

    2. You MUST protect your gaze from looking at sinful stuff

    3. Your ears should NOT hear any sinful stuff. You should walk away from such a company.

    4. Your hands MUST NOT steal or harm ANYONE or be engaged in any sinful thing.

  • 5. Your feet MUST NOT walk towards evil and sinful activities.

    6. Your heart MUST NOT have any malice against ANY Human being. Just forgive everyone for the sake of Allah.

    7. You must NOT engage in physical and verbal fighting during the fast.

    8. You MUST practice patience even if someone unfairly offends you.

And finally, Its a month of practice. You should try to live rest of the year as u lived in Ramadhan.

  • I can empathize with everything you've said so well. Ego is a huge problem I struggle with, and you were able to put my feelings and situation into words. Thanks, man.

  • Very AMAZINg older brother.. I hope you convert to islam og you havent.. Cuz That feelings you had while you were fasting.. That was a little experience of islam.. • Just wanted to say, looking at some of your earlier clips, your face looks alot different, in a good way, don't know if you have been told this.

  • You rock!

  • my 3rd fast today =) happy Ramadan to All Muslim and Non-Muslim Alike

  • I love you man your such a good role model for non muslims !!!!!

  • You are so RIGHT! Fasting = peace and thinking! Must be why the scientific and industrial revolutions started in Yemen. and why the Muslim world is so far advanced culturally and technologically. And also why there is never any war or conflict in places like the Middle East, Nigeria, Darfour, Sudan, Somalia, Chechnya, Mindanao, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Lebanon, the Balkans, Palestine, etc. Here's an idea. Never eat anything. Ever. Think how smart you'll be then.

  • Amazing video! (not to boost your ego :)

Thank you for sharing your sincerety, peace, light and reflection. This is the first video of yours I've seen, and as this would imply, having never seen other expressions of yours to compare this following statement to, you look as if you have had some insight, or even revelation, passed to you.

I am non-religious but love Abrahamic faiths (amongst others), and am trying to inform myself of how best to fast, and am considering doing so tomorrow.

    Peace!

  • i agree especially about the mental clarity i often feel a great sense of peace when i fast its a beautiful experience...ramadan mubarak to everyone out there

  • You're amazing.

  • ramadan mubarak!

  • looking for good friend

  • THanks Bret, I do have the same Ego feelings, like, I am looking better than others? Why did that certain person do that certain good thing? and why people are praising him? It should have been me, etc.

You really made me think as well. Thanks a lot.

  • Mashallah May Allah swt guide u to right path Ameen I like your video

  • what a great video after long time :)

  • Great video, glad fasting helped you in a better way

  • hello, did u become muslim yet and will you fast this ramadan again? bye

  • Alhamdulillah i get to fast every ramadhan with my family and i have iftar with all my relatives. Alhamdulillah!!!!

  • we dont just need more of this, we need more people like you.

  • @jahan442 no, I am going to let them know. I just don't know what to tell them.

  • I'm going to fast this year :) it will be my first Ramadan :) I just converted in the middle of June. Masha' Allah. But the part I'm worried about it see, my parents are both Christian and neither one of them know about my conversion, and when it comes dinner time, what am I suppose to tell them?

  • @AllisonandDaniel how are you going to fast without your parents not knowing ? and its not right to hide in the month of ramadan .

  • @AllisonandDaniel alhamdulillah <33 so proud of you ! InshAllah everything goes well for you! I think you should start by telling them about your conversion

  • I'm spending this Ramadan with my family, which is a real treat, 'cause I've only done that once before... Its gonna be AWESOME!!! :P

  • i cant wait for ramadhan this year! its so sooooooon mashalllah :)))

  • There is an arabian proverb say : البطنة تدهب الفطنة

that means that '' full stomic make your concentration 0 or your ability for thinking 0

  • @Hamouaz sorry i meant to say ' full Stomach' sorry again :)

  • you're great, but rare unfortunately. I haven't fasted in 10 years or so. i recall being able to think more lucidly when fasting. its something to do with survival. when you are hungry, your survival instincts kick in, and you think more sharply as a result.

  • This man is a good man, I like what He said .

  • it's almost ramadan again!! a few months left :))

  • i miss Ramadan month very much the best month

  • ya rab! I hope you fast again this Ramadan!!! Wallah keep doing what you're doing you've inspired me that there is hope in the world and that not all people are against us :D o and btw its being jealous of other people's good deeds is actually good because it encourages you to want to do more good deeds so thats good :D *thumbs up!*

  • bret what you're experiencing is the purpose of fasting! xD

It's meant to make you reflect and be thankful :D

  • @nicewisdom I guess you will lick thier ass next,or do suicide bombing.....you fucking sheep, get alife.Man is completely uncapable of bringing peace to the world...and going without food will only make you gluten yourself even more when your done.....religion is a man made made nightmare, wake up! i am sorry for being a dick, bit it this kind of mentality that is going to throw this country back a few centuries if you SHEEP dont stop believing in something you cannot see, because it aint REAL!

  • @KJBPSkipper

I'd rather believe if not believing causes one to type what you've type :)

  • @KJBPSkipper

ur words give a little glance abt ur good values & ethics,

    NO COMMENT, Cuz u r very educated : /

  • Thank you for reminding me brother in humanity. :)

  • Love to see a video of a non-muslim tasting Islam for the first time! Enjoy the voyage my friend , Ramadan Mubarek -

  • I think it's a good experience. I decided to do the ramadan this year, and I try to adapt myself to the muslim culture (at least for this year), just to try, because I think that I have to experiment something to understand it :) I think you did a great thing :)

  • hear hear brother! i recognize what u saying.

  • Allah said in the Quran

We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and in their own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that He is a witness over all things?

  • May Allahs peace and blessing be upon us all! Great video! It's true what you said about fasting, (God knows best). I also feel the thing you did when you were fasting. Peace

  • faithfreedom website is most hate islam alway doing fun bad thing againist islam, faithfreedom website or ali sina say ramadan is fraud was much wrong stupid

  • My goodness! I was AMAZED by how you felt when you fasted, it's EXACTLY what the purpose of it is! You WIN sir!

  • i really respect your views and wish more and more people would open up to islam and to other different faith and cultural groups, we don't hae to agree with each other but we have be ABLE understand one another and show respect. PEACE

  • fasting means not only stop eating and drinking, but also do not masturbate so on so forth.

  • soooo true fasting makes you think in ways that we dont think taht way before

    thank you for watching

  • i admire your honesty, and i like the way you approach things.have you considered running for president?LOL.

  • Great Bro !!!

  • Brother your vids are sooo good , but you should accept Islam , its the only way to achieve salvation , and be saved from the fire , and be granted paradise, im not trying to force you into nothing but its advice.(Verily, the best gift someone can give to another is Islam.) May Allah guide you and bless you Ameen . :) Keep up the good work :)

  • thanks for spreading the message.

  • i am proud of you. i wish more and more people get a chance to observe things around them. also, fasting makes you find answers within yourself..answers that u wont find in books or internet. answers that "open your eyes"

you are lucky... you've been shown the way. the question is what do you do ? now that your eyes are opened and u have found the answer ?

  • i am proud of you. i wish more and more people get a chance to observe things around them. also, fasting makes you find answers within yourself..answers that u wont find in books or internet. answers that "open your eyes"

  • Im very proud of you brother. May Allah reward and Guide you to the truth. Alhamdulellah

  • thank u brother. inspiring to know a non muslim can do it. i hav recently reverted islam my family was never practicing but were considered muslims. i found practicing hard though especially praying and fasting. but if u can do it with no faith then maybe i can do it too with complete certainty in my faith in islam. and dnt worry about the hatefull comments cos with enlightenment comes persecution. all the blind unbelievers will come against this truth you hav in your possession. peace brother:)

  • hahahaa, this video is a JOKE!!!

  • wonderful, life iz meant to be experienced, whether we experience buddhizm, hinduizm, sufizm or w/e it muzt be experienced to be known and insha'Allah, thru yur direct experience of learning, yur soul/spirit iz developing, growing, maturing from self to selfless/God, may Allah/Alpha Omega help yu with yur quest. Ameen

  • Surat Al-Baqarah [verse 183] - O you who have believed, decreed upon you is fasting AS IT WAS DECREED UPON THOSE BEFORE YOU that you may become righteous (God-Fearing) .

    Psalm 35:13: DAVID*P fasts

Matthew 4:2: JESUS*P fasts 40 days in Judean Desert.

Matt 6:16-18 When you fast, do not look somber ..

FASTING is for Muslims (Those who follow the decrees of God) ... David*P & Jesus*P were Muslims. (Followed God's commands!)

  • Salam. You are a real inspiration for Muslims and non Muslims. May Allah rewards the Paradise Incha Allah for your contribution to Islam. Love you dearly brother.

  • Actually, I recommend you watching a video of Dr. Naik.

  • I just want to say that you ARE making a difference in the world. I just subscribed and I'm watching many of your videos. I like them alot. I think what you're doing is great. Thank you for giving so much time to promote world peace.

  • Briliant.May God guide you and be pleased with you for trying. You gave your soul a chance.Peace.

  • "Be ashamed to die until you have won some victory for humanity" - Horace Mann. Clevon, your videos are excellent and if they open up people's eyes, then you have won a supreme victory indeed.

  • hey being jealous of someone doing good deeds is not always a bad thing it just goes to show that you have a zeal to do such things! to be envious of someone who has been given those types of opportunities is a step towards actually doing them! well done on the fast and reflections!

  • @untouchableali

    i totally agree

    thanks

    bret

  • @clevonamerica that's the essence behind fasting, i believe fasting is ordained also for Christians.

    thank you for the video.

PS: about untouchableali, in Islam if a poor man says honestly "if i had money i would help people and such" then he gets the "thawab" "the reward as if he actually did it.

that's God way to show his mercy to even the poor who can't do good deeds with his money. :))

  • Most people who die in this world, were probably killed by a muslim.

Also, they multiply like rabbits, so are chewing up all our food supply.

We need to burn all the korans, that will solve most issues in the world.

  • @zztop11 how do you plan to erase the koran from their hearts exactly? because many people memorise them. 'probably' killed by a muslim? is that factual or merely based on your assumptions? people in the west consume/waste more of the food and worlds resources than anywhere else in the entire world, so how did u come to the conclusion that your food supply is threatened by muslims?your answers will be much appreciated.

    peace.

  • A very insightful post! The Prophet Muhammed (pbuh) said: "Actions are only by intentions, and every man has only that which he intended". It's good that you realised this and are aware of it! P.S. have been enjoying your videos, and may you be rewarded for the good you're doing, and may you have the right intention! :-)

  • Ps. You don't need to confess your sins or mistakes. Unless you have wronged someone and you need to speak of it. As long as you are aware of the mistakes you are doing in life and then wanting to correct them, then all should be just fine.

Take care brother! And you would make one awesome muslim brother! ;)

  • :) I admire you extremely for being so honest! The thing is, you're not the only one who strays from the path once in a while. Makind was created weak and God confirms this.

"And Man was created weak." [The Qur'an. Chapter 4 Verse 28].

Keep your intentions as clean as you can you will be rewarded much :)

  • go look in bible to who was jesus fasting for fourty days

  • Thatts Wikedd! .. Mayy God Bless You ! =D

  • Masha'Allah!!! Very good! Congratulations! May Allah guide you to the Straight Path. Ameen! Truly, He is the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
