  • Ruh roh NBC

  • i guess this is ironic, its also an urban legend. the son of the guy in the geraldo brawl. snoops

  • This was totally intentional. You couldn't possibly do that by mistake. Think about it.

  • All typos are created equally, but not all have equal effect.

  • haha "nigger."

  • Well it does say he's a Republican consultant. Racism against black Republicans never counts. Just ask Condi Rice, David West, Clarence Thomas, Thomas Sowell, Walter Williams, Jesse Lee Peterson, etc...

  • @tenzentura too true. It's not racist when they do it!

  • @tenzentura That's a fine list of Uncle Toms right there. Well... Condi isn't too bad and I must admit that I'm not familiar with Walter Williams. Don't forget about the greatest Uncle Tom of all time... Herman Cain.

  • yeah niger is a river and a country but apparently they are just plain racists over there at msnbc. how can you accidentally put in an extra G on someone who is named NIGER!!! i mean if i had to type in someones name that was niger and knew it was going out on national tv the last thing i would have checked for was the spelling before i hit enter!

  • Al sharpton will be suing shortly.

  • @ConorJNixon And by shortly you mean in a short, short way. Yes.

  • @ConorJNixon I don't think he will. You see, Al Sharpton only stands up for black LIBERALS. He couldn't care less about black conservatives.

  • Niger is a country in africa, and also a huge river in Africa.

  • Niger the token Nigger

  • @chevisld You're a disgusting, racist Liberal. You should shoot yourself, chevisld. Go suck Che's dick, you racist vomit-whore pig!!!!!

  • fuck thats funny

  • When they talk about TV fails on the news, this is the one I always think of. Niger is a country, and Niger is not an uncommon name, but when you add that second g, whole different ball game.

  • his father had a sense of humor, that's no doubt

  • what a nigger

  • @scarygary5678 You're an asshole racist vagina-hater, Gary.

  • Well at least they didn't spell his last name "Pinnis".

  • Hahah, just saw Niger Innis on TV for the first time, and of course THIS was the first thing I thought of.

    "N*gger Innis!"

--I'm black, btw, so it's cool right?

  • Sadly the operator who put this to air was fired. She was given the info SPELLED AS YOU SEE IT. Both the Director and Technical Director approved it before putting it to air. Producer wasn't even in the room but ran in after about a minute of Niger being fonted TWICE like this. I do this for a living myself and the rule is to spell everything EXACTLY as it is provided. However, I can't help but wonder what was going through the operator's mind as she was typing this...

  • haah AH ah ahaha ha HA ha

    STINKING FUCKING NIGGER INNIS LOLOLolol

  • You've missed the point "rorcon" (and almost every other person here) We know his name is Niger and that he's named after a country in Africa, duh. The thing is MSNBC misspelled "Niger" and spelled it "Nigger" (with two g's) and he just so happens to be a black republican -- LMAO, this is fucking EPIC :)

  • what a horrible name. bet he got made fun of alot when he was little.

  • Freakin Hilarious!!!

  • No video of this? That's too bad, his reaction is very funny and good-natured.

  • naming a black guy niger is like naming any child uranus

  • Niger (pronounced ny-jah) is a country in northern africa....what an honor to be named after a country in Africa!

  • @NativeToungue77

no actually he was called Nigger, a word used as a pejorative for black people. what an honor indeed....

  • Comment removed

  • It's still the N Word.

  • NIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGER

  • Lulzbat, if I knew who you were I would decapitate you for leaving me such a disrespectful message.

  • LOL no shit, if you where a black mama, you'd have to either hate your kid, or be retarded to name him niger. You just gotta know everyones gonna be callin em nigger.

  • Hahahhaaahahahahhahahahaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That shit was funny!!! I'd be super pissed and offended if that happened to me. But it didn't, so I'm laughing my fucking ass off!!!!

  • Go figure MSNBC!....They would. They did it only because he's a republican. And they get away with it because of the context.

If Fox ever did this, there would be riots, even though the blacks hate Niger and his pop.

  • it is refreshing to see a black republican

  • Why would his momma name him Niger not knowing what kids are going to say that sucks

  • NIGGER

  • Yes, if Obama's first name was Niger, then someone may have misspelled it (regardless of his political affiliation.)

  • What kind of parent would name her kid Niger man, that's just asking for bullies.

  • Niger innis is the son of Roy Innis (a civil rights leader). Roy is a native of The Virgin Islands. Niger was a popular name in the Virgin Islands, so it's not as unusual as many Americans think.

  • @xlmidi good to know

  • democraps being tolerant as usual. Blacks need to wake up and get off the democrap plantation. democRATS have harmed more Blacks than the kkk.

  • how is that exactly?

  • I'm going to name my baby Aryan Causacian!

  • Yet another classic display of "tolerant" liberals at their best when it comes to black conservatives or even moderates. Seen any of their Condi cartoons? Accidental? Please!

  • youre an idiot if you think anyone would do that on purpose.

Wheres the motivation? Wheres the gain?

Anyway, ive seen the mistake before.

On a geography quiz, a friend of mine accidentally put wrote down N----- river instead of Niger river. Its a freud thing.

    2 pickets to titsburgh please

  • I'll have to ask myself how a black guy ends up with a first name like "Niger". I mean, were his parents retarded? That's just asking for bullies. Of course, NBC made it even worse by mispelling it.

  • 'Niger' is the name of a country, in case you didn't know.

  • There is a Nigeria, yes, but there is a Niger as well, just north of it. Rorcon is correct. As for the guy's parents, I dunno, maybe they're not native to the US.

  • Niger is also a country, as is Nigeria. But, I agree that his parents naming him "Niger" was retarded. That's just unnecessary.

  • @rorcon but his name is spelled with 2 g's

  • @rorcon - tell MSNBC

  • This is what he said about it: "Oh, God, I thought you guys thought I was a rapper or something. Media bias continues. Just kidding. It's not the first time it's happened, but hopefully it's the last."

In the same article (by the Associated Press), Mark O'Connor (network spokesman) says that it was strictly a typographical error.

Could be worse, I s'pose. Like maybe if Dick Butkus were on the news and it said "Dick Buttkiss" or something.

  • I saw this when it happened and I thought I was gonna have a stroke! I believe that he has refused to appear on MSNBC since. Can't say I blame him.

  • They SHOULD have put "porch" in front of the name.
