@redrum420yeaman They wrote another "version" of Way to Normal with the same titles, but with terrible songs, so if the songs got leaked, people wouldn't actually hear the real CD.
God damn it he's awesome. I hate political music that slanders either side, but he definitely makes fun of both sides in a very respectful balance, still a little "come on man....political shit?" to me personally (don't flip a shit), but very kickass nonetheless.
Dunechard, just so you know ben released a bunch of songs prior to the release of the album and leaked them on the internet. The only problem was they were not the songs that were going to be on the album, they were fakes.
He explained this at the concert I attended as "the background for this is a conservative guy makes the mistake of taking his liberal girlfriend to one of his work parties and she does crack for the first time." Whatever the background or political stance or whatever, it's hilarious.
Lol, when he played this at the concert I went to he kept messing up the words and stopping. It was quite funny and led to him telling us some good stories from previous shows. He's a great live show!
@MonzLithium Dude... this is just a CRAZY office party that was rocking until noon (the responsible people dropped amphetamines around sun-up... then some n00bz started snorting coke and shit got crazy). And, i mean-- we've all been there before-- amirite?
i agree, i dont see how its fake, just like a werid al kinda sing, a song cant be fake. unless its like a phony video and ends up being rick roll, then its fake.
yeah its fake because its a fake cd. its not the real the bitch went nuts. they uploaded the fake cd 2 weeks before they got their real cd on the market. these songs on the fake cd were not them from the real cd!
Saw him do this tune in Houston also. Evidently he made fake versions of all the songs on Way to Normal; which is a killer album by the way. Not inferior to Ben's previous stuff at all.

This sounds like a Beck ripoff kind of. Yeah, it's not the real version of the song, but he acknowledges this in the comments. He ought to change the title to reflect this though.
It's funny. No matter what, nothing is fake. If he played it, and you are listening to it, it's real. His fake stuff is better than most bands "real" stuff. Go Ben!
wow this is really his song.. i have seen him play it. and the songs leaked were leaked by him as a joke they are real. this songs on his official myspace.

This is what the fake lyrics allowed me to do — completely write earnestly from the point of view of a Republican ex-fratboy guy who's trying to make it at his law firm and is horrified 'cause his girlfriend has left, liberal views and it's fun."
thumbs up if you're listening to this as a liberal.

This IS NOT the FAKE version. It's the alternative version you get from the Stems and Seeds disc for Way to Normal. Get it right!

@famoussherbondy I think he means fake because this was an early demo version Ben recorded. The one on the album contains different lyrics and music.
