I was thinking, ok I like art. But replacing an ice skating rink with a gallery is going too far. Then i saw that guy pushing the...errr thing & it walked, I was pretty impressed...great vid man, thats going in my faves...cheers : )
Those things are pretty awesome! The guy who created them must be really creative to design and build such things. Thanks for posting the video, it's really interesting and I quite enjoyed it!
Wow. I saw this on a TED Talk recently but your video is much better! especially because of the close up. how hard was to move it? (weight, bearings?)
tip/suggestion: don't change your mind (about where youre walking) so much when youre carrying the video camera. like when you first walk into the tent. let the shot rest and hold the camera still for several seconds.
Now that's a thought. More than just speeding up the video, right? Actually leaving the ground? Though with that many legs... How is a six legged creature supposed to gallop anyways?
Naw I'm sure you could make kits of these animals, complete with instructions and replacement parts. Hell there's got to be a way to build one out of what you can find at Tokyu Hands.
Pretty cool! But the sound of it walking is a bit creepy, don't You think? I wonder how would it sound if we could hear our bones' friction and muscles stretch.
Well yeah, we do hear one crack sometimes, but what if we heard every sound they make? I had this one class in physics in high school where I remember the teacher telling us that if we heard the frequency of the sounds our bones make we wouldn't be able to learn because of the noise.
Hey does anyone know how fast these can move? also are they just wind powered, or do some have motors?

Very light. Most of these creatures run on wind power.

If I could feel envy it would be right now :D
Those pieces of work didn't sound anything strange, but to actually see 'em move and function like that is amazing!

Yah I was grateful for the one creature they let people push around.

Pretty damn cool. Strangely Bauhausian.
I was hoping to see that `creature' working at a run - maybe it's just me ;o)
I'd hate to be the guy that had to assemble that thing if it broke - Ikea furniture is complicated enough :o)

It'd be such a waste if it was Ginza only. Be nice if they did a nationwide tour.

Well, it's not like we're all ninjas. Most folks make some sort of noise when they walk. ;-)
