i've must've seen this video over 50 times and never understood why daigo threw his super so randomly and why marn never blocked it...well after analyzing this shit over and over i realized it wasn't a random super, instead daigo anticipated and read not only a throw, but a kara throw at that and as marn went for it, daigo unleashed hell...Daigo's reaction time in Street Fighter in general is not only precise but fucking God-like in my opinion...just peep daigo vs j wong in 3rd strike LoL...

@shingathing FOOL he didn't mash a super, marn clearly goes in for a kara throw and daigo read it & released the super, there is no mashing in high level play unless the other player does a risky DP or an intelligent one, meaning the other guy missed a link and got punished for it. in this case daigo couldn't have mashed anything due to block stun that is still in effect after a chain of links, marn got mind fucked by thinking he had an easy kara throw but forgot daigo had a full super pending!

He pulled them back into kamehameha stance and then fired it. Now it's more like him just putting his hands forward and out comes a hadouken. It's ridiculous. It's the most annoying strategy in the game, and it's completely boring to watch. I'd rather watch Daigo play a different SF game personally.

As a dictator player, I have much more fun playing against Ryu than playing against Viper because getting in requires patience, intelligence, good control of rythm and space, etc. And zoning a good player requires a lot of skill. Believe me, Marn would blitzkrieg any random hado spammer while playing with his feet.

Even I,and I'm no pro,regularly beat Ryus who think you can control space just by sitting there and throwing fireballs. Every decent player knows to counter that; there's a reason why Daigo is the ONLY Ryu among Japan's best players. His sense of zoning is unique in the world,not even the best players have this ability to completely negate your game while putting you in the corner.

You can see that the Ken player was too focused in the end on what he was planning to do, and forgot he was fighting a damn Ryu. You don't just offer yourself by jumping in to an unpressured Ryu with an Ultra bar.

The stick makes a lot of things easier, but there is a Viper player who uses pad and took a round off Daigo. So it's not like reaching the high life is impossible via pad.
